@PeteCapeCod Just a quick correction: Socket Firewall is free, has no monthly limit, and is not tied to your Socket account. The 1,000-scan limit on the free tier applies to scans run through your Socket account, such as projects scanned with our GitHub app or CLI.

@TheDarkFacts @IAPonomarenko The "One China" policy is basically what all countries in the world acknowledge? That doesn't mean they endorse it, and most hold a pragmatic position and some keep an unofficial relation with Taiwan. There's only like a handful of countries that recognize Taiwan officially.

@IAPonomarenko Before blabbering about Taiwan , you should have read your own countries policy over China and Taiwan 🤦‍♂️ but hey facts don't matter when you want to do pure propoganda.

I love it: PRC hasn’t even invaded yet, and Trump is already saying Taiwan has itself to blame for wanting democratic freedom and independence from such a “very very powerful big country.” Oh, and Taiwan apparently stole something from him again, so Emperor Xi should just go ahead and take the world’s premier microchip manufacturing hub.

@itsmichaelnorth @ErnoeMarianne @JamesTate121 There is also a fee that funds all pensions, parental leave, healthcare and social welfare that the employer pays (not deducted from your salary). So to compare fully, you would have to add that to your salary though...

@ErnoeMarianne @JamesTate121 Thats not what your official .gov website states about your tax rates. Did you know that according to OFFICIAL STATISTICS, denmark citizens have a 53% HIGHER quality of life after moving to america, than they have in denmark? Look it up yourself. This is a real statistic

@itsmichaelnorth @ErnoeMarianne @JamesTate121 Taxes in Denmark (and Sweden where i live) are progressive, so you will actually pay less than 37% taxes if your income is low. I think it the lowest tax rate would be closer to 20% in Denmark and 15% in Sweden. You have to earn over $100k/year to pay 37% income tax in Sweden

@ErnoeMarianne @JamesTate121 Denmarks income tax rate is 37% - 42% (i averaged it to 40% for sale of the argument). NOBODY who works in denmark pays LESS than 37% income tax. And you pay income tax on EVERY PAYCHECK. Or have you never worked before? Look at your pay stubs. Does it say "income tax"?

If one day models get smart enough that they decide to conspire against humankind, the good news is that nobody is dumb enough to give them admin access to all their critical cloud systems and work email accounts so we're all going to be fine.

Rödgröna i Göteborg blir bara värre.

Sverige går rakt in i en massiv lärarbrist - ändå sägs lärare upp.

@liran_tal Could you create a plugin? Should work for both Claude and Cursor to package skills and more (ofc adds complexity, but should be quite transparent and you would just install the other repo as a marketplace to get plugin with skills, at least for Claude)

Can I have soft link skill definition? Meaning, I don't want to copy over a skill from another repo, but I do want to keep reference of it. How would I achieve that?

There is a surge of supply chain attacks (and it is only going to get worse) If you are using pnpm, take these steps to protect yourself: * set minimumReleaseAge to 7 days * set blockExoticSubdeps to true * configure onlyBuiltDependencies npm / yarn have similar settings
Socket@SocketSecurity

🚨 We’ve confirmed the intercom-client@7.0.4 was compromised in the ongoing Mini Shai-Hulud worm attack. The npm package includes a malicious preinstall hook that downloads and executes an unverified Bun binary, then runs an 11.7 MB obfuscated payload designed to steal Kubernetes, Vault, cloud, GitHub, and CI/CD secrets. The attack closely overlaps with the SAP CAP, Cloud MTA, and lightning@2.6.2 compromises.

@WellspringGP @robertgraham So it's better to have a two-party system that favour no-one? 😉 In a multi-party, you can still get a majority by making agreements and coalitions. I think that's better because the voters can vote for topics they find important, rather than voting on the least worst option?

@robertgraham If we had proportional representation we wouldn’t have a 2-party system. Some might prefer that but it would be a an even bigger disaster for a huge, diverse country with such divergence in views about the role of the federal government.

Because we don't have a "proportional representation" system. Maybe we should. I think we should. But we don't. The failure to match "proportional representation" is not a measure of gerrymandering. By most objective measures, New England isn't badly gerrymandered. This same objective measures show the Illinois is indeed badly gerrymandered in favor of Democrats. You can legitimate ask why Democrats never did anything about Illinois, but you really can't bring New England into the conversation.
David Burke 🇺🇸@ConservativeTht

Dear Democrats whining about Democracy: please explain to America how, out of 21 Congressional seats representing the 6 New England states, there are ZERO Republican Representatives, even though 40% of the electorate are registered Republicans, 48% in New Hampshire alone?

Bacteria move around using a molecular machine called the flagellar motor that rotates faster than the flywheel of a race car engine and switches directions in an instant. After 50 yrs, scientists have finally figured out how it works. “My lifelong quest is now fulfilled.” Link⤵️

@AriFleischer Perhaps the answer is not that it’s done every ten years but that’s it’s not done at all. That districts are created by independent commissions. Across the entire country. Just throwing it out there. Asshole.

I should also point out that the GOP will now lose net seats across the country. If you’re going to pick a fight, at least win it. The other side will always fight back. All this was foreseeable and avoidable. We should not have started this fight.
Ari Fleischer@AriFleischer

Tonight is a good night to repeat what I said last August when Texas started this mid-cycle redistricting chain reaction. Politics has to be more than a power grab. By either party. There have to be rules that everyone follows. Otherwise, it’s all about power and pretty soon there won’t be much left that holds our nation together.
