If we're playing yugioh and my deck has the 5 pieces of exodia in it, there's a chance that I draw the 5 pieces on my first turn hence immediately winning the game. In every way the word chance is understood in the english language it applies here. Ex: If there are 10 cards in your draw deck what is the chance of drawing one specific card?

I would describe it as dulling the mental anxiety enough so I could choose to either be anxious or not. Before it was like I'm going to be anxious and I have no choice. L-Theanine helped me a lot when I wanted to feel calm.
