Dear Women in Marriage, I wish to share my story as a testimony to all of you walking through this sacred journey called marriage. My name is Sofia, I am 39 years old, a divorcee after 13 years of marriage, and a mother of three beautiful children, two boys and one girl. I got married when I was 23 years old. At that time, I was young, inexperienced, and too naïve to fully understand what marriage truly meant. My husband was a good man of caring, home-loving, and responsible. Yet, in my youthful ignorance, I mistook my desire for freedom as strength, not realizing that marriage itself requires maturity, patience, and understanding. By the age of 31, I already had three children. Life became a routine of motherhood and house management to caring for my husband, tending to the children, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Two of my children were already in school, and the youngest was under the care of our nanny. I finally had some freedom to move around, go shopping, and do things on my own. Then, one ordinary evening while shopping, something happened that changed my entire life. As I reached for an item, I felt a gentle touch from behind. Turning back, I saw a man smiling warmly at me. He greeted me politely, and we exchanged a few words. He was charming, well-spoken, and carried himself with confidence. When I was done shopping, he insisted on paying my bill and walked me to the car. I felt seen, admired, and appreciated. Later that evening, I couldn't stop thinking about him. His kindness reminded me of what my marriage had been missing or at least what I thought it was missing. Two days later, he texted me, asking if we could meet for coffee. I agreed. We talked for hours. He was attentive, understanding, and seemed to say everything a lonely woman longs to hear. By the end of our conversation, he suggested we go somewhere private to continue talking. I didn't resist. We booked a room, and that evening, everything changed. The intimacy we shared made me feel alive again. But what I didn't realize was that moment of pleasure would cost me everything I had built for years. When I went back home, I started comparing him to my husband. His words, his touch, even his presence. Suddenly, my husband felt boring, weak, and unfulfilling. I began to avoid him and withheld intimacy, believing that the man I had met was what I truly needed. Our affair continued until the man I was seeing asked me to leave my husband so that we could start a new life together. Blinded by emotions and lust, I caused fights at home and finally walked out of my marriage, believing I was walking into happiness. Today marks three years since I left my home. But I can tell you this from the bottom of my heart — there is nothing special out here to celebrate. The man I left my husband for turned out to be nothing close to the man I abandoned. After just three months of living together, he began coming home late, avoiding me, and entertaining other women. He even started reminding me that I had children with another man. The same person who once made me feel wanted began to make me feel worthless. I have suffered greatly for the choice I made that evening in that shopping mall. I lost my home, my husband, my children's respect, and my peace of mind, all for a moment that was never worth it. Dear women, if you are married, please value your marriage. Do not be deceived by attention, flattery, or momentary pleasure. The man who can make you a wife is far better than the one who can only make you a girlfriend. If you have challenges, work on them. If you feel lonely, talk about it. But never destroy your home because of what looks exciting outside. It fades quickly. I don't know if my husband will ever forgive me, but I've made peace with God and with myself. My story is not to seek sympathy, but to warn and guide others who may be standing where I once stood. Learn from me. Protect your marriage. Value your husband. And above all, guard your heart.

In the 1991-92 season Fernando Hierro scored 21 La Liga goals. He was playing centre back. Happy birthday to one of the strangest and most brilliant footballers who ever lived. 127 goals in 601 appearances for Real Madrid. Not a forward. Not a midfielder. Not an attacking threat deployed in an unusual role. A centre back who lined up at the back, defended, and somehow scored 127 times for the same club. Most strikers would be satisfied with that career return. Hierro did it while also being one of the best defenders in the world at the same time. He once described himself as having a forward's soul, admitting he did not have the defender's mindset and that everything he achieved defensively came from making mistakes and learning from them. Which is one of the most honest and quietly brilliant things any footballer has ever said about themselves. The same club that rejected him as a young player for not being good enough watched him return as one of the greatest defenders his position has ever produced. Then in 2018, with Spain two days away from their opening World Cup match and no manager after Lopetegui was sacked, they called Hierro. He had 48 hours to prepare. He took them to the round of 16. The man who simply refused to do anything the conventional way. Happy birthday Fernando Hierro. Hope you learned something today? My name is Ajoje. In January 2012, Kenyan aid worker Anthony Omari, a 24-year-old security guard at Faraja Children’s Home, bravely protected the orphanage from three armed attackers. The men, carrying machetes, tried to break in, but Omari fought them off, saving the children. During the struggle, he was hit in the face with a machete and needed 11 stitches. Even though he was badly hurt, Omari stayed strong until the children were safe. His brave story spread online after an American volunteer shared it, leading to a viral fundraiser that raised over $80,000 to improve the orphanage’s security and safety. Omari’s courage not only saved lives that night but also brought lasting protection and support to the children, inspiring people worldwide.

For the first time today, I realized that the problem of Nigeria is not leadership per say, but the opportunists nature of its citizens. I was scheduled for an appointment at the Russian Embassy Abuja by 11am today, and somehow, I missed my way to the Embassy. Instead of the Russian Embassy, I found myself at the UN Office which had the same structure painting with the Russian Embassy. I checked my time and it was 10:42am. Looking frustrated, I asked for directions and the security guards directed me to a cluster of Taxi Drivers at the opposite side. I crossed to the other side and immediately about five of the Taxi Drivers rushed towards me. "Oga where you dey go"? They asked simultaneously "Russian Embassy" I responded "Ahhhhh! Russian Embassy. E far o" one of the men responded. "Is about two hours drive from here" the man added "How much will you take me there"? I asked "Oga na 30k o" he responded My heart skip. I was pleading and negotiating with this man to please accept 20k as I was running out of time but he stood his ground. A Hausa man hawking orange who was following our conversation, came behind me and whispered in Hausa "Dan dai kana sauri ne, Amman akasama zaka iya zuwa Russian Embassy" (if not because you are in a haste, you can trek to Russian Embassy). The orange hawker then instructed me to follow him. I checked my time and it was 10:49am. We trekked few miles, take just two turns and crossed over an overhead bridge. Boom! We are at the front of Russian Embassy. I checked my time and it was 10:57am. I could not help but hug the man tightly until the orange on his stray start falling. We chatted for few minutes. He told me he came all the way from Ingawa Local Government in Katsina State. I told him I am from Funtua local government in Katsina State. We quickly exchange contact and I dash off. While waiting for my turn to be invited into the Embassy, my mind traveled back to the Taxi Driver I was desperately begging to accept 20k. Some of us are worse than the leaders we complain everyday about. It's just opportunity we lack. Ismail Abdulazeez Mantu Diary of a Traveler

🚨Let’s make one thing clear, Alejandro Garnacho has lost all of love and respect from true Manchester United fans himself with his social media activity. Mistakes after mistakes in social media have consequences and today he did another one under Rashford post on IG by celebrating his move to Barcelona. • APRIL 2024: Garnacho liked two Mark Goldbridge posts that criticized Ten Hag after he was substituted at half-time against Bournemouth. Ten Hag later revealed that Garnacho apologized for liking the posts: "He apologised for it and after that, we move on." • SEPTEMBER 2024: Garnacho liked Fabrizio's IG post of Cristiano Ronaldo criticizing Ten Hag, who was still manager at the time. • DECEMBER 2024: One month under Amorim, and Garnacho has liked another post criticizing Lisandro Martinez, his own current club and international teammate. • DECEMBER 2024: He was left out of the squad for the Man City game because of his actions off the pitch by leaking information, and he decided to leave X on beginning of January. • May 2025: We lose in the Europa League finals against Tottenham and his brother is doing the talking for him on social media, and also that interview? Was shocking!!! Note that the SEPTEMBER and DECEMBER incidents happened IMMEDIATELY after the games, within 20-30 minutes, so this is definitely NOT a "mistake." There's a clear pattern that has to stop. We've just lost in the finals against Spurs, and he's doing interviews of blaming the manager for his game-time??? How? Why? And again today how can a player who is under contract with the club go and celebrate the departure of another player commenting ‘Let’s goo’ like someone has scored a goal or something. We will be lucky to get £35/40m for him, he has problems with his attitude and he will never change. Amorim is barely couple of months in. Results aren't going well, and the last thing the new manager needs is this sort of drama, when players should be 100% focused on their jobs. And if the rebuild needs to start somewhere, it needs to start by getting rid of this kind of players. And i fully support Ruben Amorim decision on his departure! Enough is enough! #MUFC

@thekitani @MartienBall The coach has the final decision, and that’s non-negotiable. I remember Sir Alex making the decisive choice to drop a player who just scored a hat trick in the previous match. Garnacho wouldn’t dare falter in front of Sir Alex; he knows what’s at stake

@MartienBall Emotions were high, Amorim was wrong to start an unfit Mount over Garnacho Garnacho could earn Man U at least £50m but Amorim tanked his value by publicising their feud. Fans love supporting a manager’s lack of professionalism but chastise a player for the same thing.

Imagine what a player must have done for his manager to stand in front of the entire team and say, ‘pray that you can find a new club.’ The level of ego and toxicity that have taken over the dressing room is staggering. A 20-year-old having no consideration and respect for the manager & more experienced players is a clear sign of just how toxic the dressing room culture has become. On the bright side: thanks to him, other young players know what awaits them if they bring the wrong attitude. At least, cheers for that mate.

Just heard something that happened to a certain UK Nurse and I don't even know what else to say to it than to tell both of them congratulations for being unfortunate. The Husband beats the wife after a heated arguement, wife went ahead and called the police and reported him. She also called home office to remove the hubby from her COS. Husband in turn went to report her to NMC UK that her IELTS result was fake. NMC commenced investigation and found her guilty, withdrew her from their register. Husband and wife are now back in Nigeria and it’s a win win situation for both of them 😂
