Whoever shot this 17 minute video showing a drive through Pacific Palisades one month ago had no idea how historic it would become.
If you’re not from Los Angeles, this might give you a better idea of what we’ve lost. Please keep in mind this is just ONE street. This doesn’t include the entire Pacific Coast Highway, most of Altadena, and an additional 18 miles of Pacific Palisades. 💔💔💔

Some fabrics are handwoven, hand-dyed, and hand screen printed. One can squabble about the value of these methods. I've argued on forums that their "handmade Goodyear welt" doesn't add much bc it still has gemming. But there's still a craft element in their collections.

@LouStagner A senior player at my home club scored a whopping 54 points a week or so ago. Playing off 30 he shot an 87. he was cut 1 shot. for me to do that id have to break the course record.

The handicap system favors higher index players.
There are a lot of member guest events that play a series of 9-hole matches.
What are the odds a player shoots net five under for nine holes?
A scratch player will do this about once every 1,429 rounds!
A 10 index about once every 101 nine-hole rounds.
A 15 index about once every 52 rounds.
If you played 52 nine-hole rounds a year, a 15 index does this once a year. A scratch player would shoot net five under about once every 27 years.
