@PemelaBendi We need an etf that is committed to holding the top 5 MSOs at 20% each that rebalances every Jan 1 and July 1.

Once S3 for adult-use is completed, I say we leave $MSOS for an etf that actually owns the underlying. Cash redemption is so trash, there is no evidence of the swap counterparties actually even owning the underlyings as they have no contractual obligation to do so.

How I'm working to save a client $100,000 in taxes: They've held Apple stock for decades. Smart move, except now they're sitting on a capital gain that would cost them six figures the moment they sell. Most advisors would say "just pay it." Or they'd suggest a charitable trust you'll never actually use. We did something different. Their parents are aging and don't need the money. So, we gifted the stock to them while their parents are still alive. The client stays named as beneficiary. Here's why it matters: when you inherit assets, the cost basis resets to whatever the investment is worth at that time. The original gain disappears for tax purposes entirely. So instead of writing a $100,000 check to the IRS, my client waits. The stock passes back to them through the estate. The gain is gone. Over $100,000 stays where it belongs (in their pocket, not the IRS).

CREDIT SCORE SCAM: I check my credit score daily just to make sure nothing weird is happening out there. I noticed that my credit score had gone down one point. I was like, "one point, what would cause that?" Turns out that the balance on one of my credit cards went up by $86 and therefore, my credit score dropped one point. $86, folks. Scam. I guarantee you these credit card companies are in league with the credit rating bureaus to reduce your rating and charge higher interest.

Cannabis rescheduling not happening this year - much less this week! Here's my take. The HHS recommended rescheduling over 2 years ago. The DEA was caught red handed colluding with cannabis prohibitionists Sabet, to successfully derail the Administrative Law review. The current head of the DEA said he'd make rescheduling a top priority a year ago. Nothing happened. Trump issued an executive order to get it done 5 months ago. Trump fired the Attorney General Bondi for not following his executive order. And despite Trump's comments during the ibogaine signing ceremony, the DEA will continue to sit on rescheduling. The former head of the DEA said, the reason the DEA is so adamantly opposed to relaxing cannabis rules, is that so many DEA agents died in the war on drugs. Either the DOJ takes charge and issues the final ruling, and takes it away from the DEA, or rescheduling is never going to happen.
