FACTS MATTER: As someone who lives outside of Richmond, VA I can attest that Democrats have run that city into the ground. Failing schools, crumbling infrastructure &excessive crime. I also grew up outside of DC and the same things can be said. I wish people would wake up.

@GovernorVA False. Energy cost in VA has gone up because your county governments are getting fat approving indiscriminately building of Data Centers which consume large amounts of water, Electric Watts and on top of that don’t produce jobs or pay taxes. Sign a law so counties can’t do it.

Energy costs are skyrocketing because of the President’s reckless war. But even before he disrupted global markets, monthly bills have been hard to manage. Yesterday, I signed legislation to diversity our energy usage and better protect Virginians from volatile prices. Real, long-term investments that will mean real money in people’s pockets.

Young people who grew up in Virginia want to stay — but cannot find an apartment they can afford. Families who have saved for years still cannot compete in the housing market. Seniors on fixed incomes are watching their rent climb higher every year.

We have a housing shortage in Virginia. And until we address it, prices will keep rising.

A lot has been made of taxes proposed by Democrats that never passed the General Assembly, including a bill to tax streaming services and more. Republicans, including President Trump, have attacked Governor Abigail Spanberger over that bill and others. Spanberger has pushed back, saying the bill (along with others) never passed the General Assembly and therefore never reached her desk. Yesterday, I asked @GovernorVA if a bill to tax streaming services, dry cleaning, and more does make it to her desk as governor in the future, would she veto it or would she sign it into law?
