@Yuchenj_UW @AndrewCurran_ Noboday say it was easy. All the best! from yet another Yuchen

I have decided to step down as CTO at Hyperbolic.
Leaving a company you co-founded and poured your heart into is not easy.
So many moments still feel vivid: launching our AI inference product for open-source models and seeing tens of thousands of developers sign up in a week; the week we were hit by a massive DDoS attack and the entire engineering team fought around the clock until we won; the day we launched the GPU platform and watched ARR take off.
There were also hard moments. That’s the nature of building a startup. I’m grateful for all of it.
What I’m most grateful for is the team. Thank you for your trust. Most startups never build something people want. I believe we did. You should be proud of yourselves. I will look forward to seeing your success.
What’s next for me? I’m still figuring it out. I believe this is the most extraordinary moment in human history. We’re standing at the edge of the Singularity. AI will reshape everything, and I still feel the same excitement I felt when I first fell in love with AI.
Time to start over. Time to climb another mountain.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey,
— Yuchen

Wow, X sent me an email saying my post’s visibility was limited simply for sharing my opinion about the possibility of a man claiming to be a woman while working as an Uber driver when a woman could request a female driver. I didn’t say anything hateful—I was just being honest and raising a point about how that situation could potentially put women in danger.
This means someone/s reported my post and it was approved. Ridiculous! This doesn’t align with freedom of speech.
Who is in control of making these post report decisions? Is it a person/s or a system?

It’s insane to me that Melissa Wong’s post is now hidden due to “violating rules” and deemed “hateful content”
If you believe in free speech, you believe it’s imperative to let people share even their most retarded opinions
It’s literally required for a healthy pendulum
“Reporting” this post is some woke right shit — I hope X can figure out a way around this because I, personally, enjoy seeing opinions I don’t agree with. Just look at the ripples from this post! It sparked many conversations, which is what free speech should do!!
Things you disagree with, as dumb as they might be, are not automatically “hate speech”
Come on guys. We’re better than this.

@Shedletsky @nikitabier We’re on it. Please send me some examples you’re seeing

@nikitabier would rather you just filter out the all spammy clickbait bot accounts from my timeline rather than this one specific subset.
its really hard to believe that with all of xAI's GPUs can you can't review tweets for "marketing smell"

Today we are revising our Creator Revenue Sharing policies to maintain authenticity of content on Timeline and prevent manipulation of the program.
During times of war, it is critical that people have access to authentic information on the ground. With today’s AI technologies, it is trivial to create content that can mislead people.
Starting now, users who post AI-generated videos of an armed conflict—without adding a disclosure that it was made with AI—will be suspended from Creator Revenue Sharing for 90 days. Subsequent violations will result in a permanent suspension from the program.
This will be flagged to us by any post with a Community Note or if the content contains meta data (or other signals) from generative AI tools.
We will continue to refine our policies and product to ensure X can be trusted during these critical moments.

Three years, thousands of PRs, and a million jokes. Today was my last day @xai. To the team: you rock, no one burns the midnight oil better. To @elonmusk, thanks for taking me on board. I've learnt more about execution, speed, and product perfectionism than I could ever have imagined. Thanks for everything.
My next priorities: sleep for more than 8h, write down all the things I've learnt (I have a list), and then think about what I want to do next.

Our AI4 chip is built with full fail-over redundancy.
That means two computers run in parallel and keep checking each other, so if one has a problem, the other can take over instantly.
This chip powers both FSD in our vehicles & @Tesla_Optimus
