@drugmonkeyblog The first author is a person who did the experiments. The last author is a person who designed said experiments. Yes, the Nobel Prize is awarded to people who come up with paradigms and then think, plan and develop the research projects to prove them.

There is no science without reliable data. Who pays the ongoing costs has been an issue from the beginning. This is a shared infrastructure problem but it gets treated like a “one-off” situation whenever it comes up. We need better long-term strategies. #Funding #DataScience

Wild results, with potential applications in infectious disease too. Imagine editing TB or strep antigens into these friendly bacteria & rubbing on your skin - would you get some immunity? How long would it last? I wonder! (We're proud supporters of @mfgrp & team at Open Phil.)
