The war isn’t ending any time soon, if diplomatic signalling is a guide.
Iran is clear: if Israel and the US do X, we do Y. No real mystery.
But when diplomats tell Iran to stop doing Y, ignoring X, we are not moving toward de-escalation. We just stalled at the starting point.

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also dehumanized Iranians as "barbaric savages" (as the US military bombs elementary schools and hospitals in Iran).
The mask is off. The US and Israel are fascist genocidal regimes that aim to "exterminate all the brutes" of the Global South, as 19th-century European colonialists said.

@MattZeitlin We let private companies empty out the easy to extract oil and gas when prices were cheap. Norway took a slower and more structured approach. Leaving Norway with more reserves that are cheaper to extract, while we are left with the stuff that's difficult to get out.

Trump just pulled a genius move on Iranian oil and it's savage! The U.S. is letting 140 million barrels of Iranian oil already at sea get sold off. Prices drop, market gets flooded with supply. But Iran gets zero dollars because sanctions block them from the cash.
