Nobody said studying other religions automatically makes someone right. The point is that many of us did study, did wrestle, did question, and still chose to stay because we believe the Restoration is true. You left. I didn’t. Neither of us gets to erase the sincerity or intelligence of the other just because we arrived at different conclusions.

I’ve noticed a few people are convinced I only believe what I believe because I have never studied anything else. That would be a lot easier for them, I’m sure. But no. I’ve read outside my faith. I’ve studied Catholicism, Protestant Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and more. I’ve read arguments against my own beliefs. I’ve listened to former members, critics, apologists, scholars, ministers, priests, pastors, and people who think they have the silver bullet against Latter-day Saints. I did not stay because I was sheltered. I stayed because the Restoration answers questions other traditions could not answer for me with the same clarity, authority, and covenant power. I stayed because priesthood, temple ordinances, living prophets, continuing revelation, the Book of Mormon, and the doctrine of Jesus Christ do not weaken the Bible for me. They make the whole thing burn brighter. You can disagree with me. You can think I’m wrong. You can even spend your spare time monitoring my posts and pretending I’ve never opened a book. But do not confuse my conviction with ignorance. I have looked around. I still choose Jesus Christ. I still choose His restored gospel. I still choose this Church.

Many people still refer to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Mormons. In 2018, President Russell M. Nelson gave a talk encouraging the membership of the church and the general public to address the church by its full and proper name. “Joseph Smith did not name the Church restored through him; neither did Mormon. It was the Savior Himself who said, ‘For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.’” This name isn’t new. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ my whole life. Not a great member, but I attend and serve. Born in the covenant. I am a millennial raised with all Gen-X siblings well away from any Mormon Culture hot spots. My Stake is roughly the size of many mid sized states. I went to multiple EFY’s, Treks, Youth conferences. I Attended a semester of BYU-I prior to my mission. I was married in the temple, served in many heavy callings, ie bishop, Stake, etc… none of this really matters though cause a testimony is personal and requires the act of exerting fairy to keep the fire burning. As a nearly boomer, I am still learning and relearning aspects of church history that were different than I expected as a youth. None of it has changed my opinion of Joseph Smith. I love the man. But if I learned something tomorrow that made me question his choices, it wouldn’t matter one iota towards my testimony of Jesus Christ. My Sunday lessons, my seminary lessons, my scripture and my prayers, were all centred on Jesus Christ and His role as my Saviour and Redeemer. This knowledge has been revealed in the last days thru Joseph Smith and subsequent Prophets and for that I am forever grateful. Whether you feel cheated by not having the full story in some aspect of Joseph Smith, Church Restoration, Church Finances or Legal Proceedings involving the church or lack thereof, I encourage you to refocus your testimony on Jesus Christ and then put in the work that Faith requires. No, hold on, I dare you to put in the work, and see if anything if too difficult for Jesus Christ. Your life will change. While you are at it, maybe give some grace to people who made knowledge of this miracles available to us. Or don’t do any of that… but please stop making your deconstruction about anything other than your desire to distance yourself from the church of a Jesus Christ because you stopped doing the things and stopped focusing on your relationship with Jesus Christ.

If youre voting "no" during the $GME shareholder meeting, just do us all a favor and sell your shares ahead of time. It'll ensure a no-vote from whoever buys them prior to the meeting. If you vote "no", youre literally preventing GME from becoming anything other than a dying business

Let me try and explain what this means (for those in the back). 1. $GME pays 50% of the eBay acquisition costs in cash, and 50% in GME stock 2. The target valuation of eBay is $125 per share. This cash buyout pays existing eBay shareholders $62.5 per share DIRECTLY IN CASH and the remainder is exchanged for GME stock 2. GME increases authorized share count. This is what the company CAN issue, but are not yet issued. 3. GME needs this so they have enough shares to EXCHANGE for the rest of eBay's stock In the example above, a shareholder with 1 share of eBay received $62.5 in cash, but needs 2.5 shares of GME (valued at $25 per share) to cover the remaining 50%. New stock is not being issued and sold in the open market to cover 100% of the acquisition cost.. its exchanged 2.5 : 1 ( $GME : $EBAY )
