Really sad to hear about the end of Football Focus.
I loved that show growing up. I used to watch it every week with my dad and I remember how proud he was when I got the job. It was such a privilege to sit in the chair for 12 years, work with an amazing team on and off air and form so many lasting friendships.
Saturdays were always special.
The football landscape is constantly changing and it’s disappointing that there isn’t space for a show that has meant so much to so many people for so many years.

Do you know the Conservative party under Kemi Badenoch intend to oppose the ban on hunting wildlife. Badenoch recently attended the Heythrop Hunt fundraising Point to Point to support fox hunting. Our wildlife are not safe in her hands. Here she is pictured with notorious hunt thug Ollie Dale, who assaulted a female hunt sab in November 2024 for which he received a conditional caution. He was further charged with three offences of illegal hunting, including at least one fox kill. He was subsequently let off the Hunting Act charges, proving once again that the Hunting Act fails to secure justice for our wildlife, and perfectly demonstrates why a real and effective ban - which Badenoch intends to oppose - is desperately needed. Badenoch would have - or should have - been briefed about this, but chose to meet and have her picture taken with this violent wildlife killer, anyway. I’ll never forget that image of the Queen sitting alone to pay a final farewell to her husband of 73 years. She followed Covid rules while Boris Johnson’s Downing Street held their lockdown-breaching parties. I’ll never forget that appalling behaviour even if others want to.

@benonwine That’s funny. Why do you have to check the rules? Family may be British. You wouldn’t know that because you were too busy filming. Immigration is a serious concern but address the problems not the people. Stop the boats and all other illegal entry points
