#Destiny2 #animation explorations for an exotic hand cannon that never came to pass 🥲. The general idea was that at some point you would be able to load a heavy ammo round into a primary ammo weapon. We had a wide berth this early on in the process, so I roughed in lots of different options for how that reload could work mechanically, how difficult it should feel, etc.

Fresh off the GNM launch (github.com/google/GNM), here’s a closer look at what you can do with it! GNM is fully open-source, meaning that you can build right on top of it. Here I’m using normalized vertex groups in Blender to mask different regions while randomizing identities. And if you want to go beyond realism you can always push these settings further to create stylized characters.

Big fan of using textured planes instead of geometry for rounded corners, instead of dozens of triangles shaping the object you use only two and pixel filtering does the rest :) A cheap but effective trick.
