It may surprise you I am against calls to publish Mandelson's vetting report.
I held direct vetting for 22 years. It looks at your personal finances, sex life, drinking, friendships and social behaviours.
An awful precedent for civil servants to publish such private information.
@clumsyoaf33 I bought a COS dress described as excellent condition. It had a hole in the pocket and the belt was missing. Seller said it wasn’t advertised as having a belt so what was the problem? Perhaps the multiple wide belt loops around the waist of the dress….
So a Vinted seller lied- this is obviously not ‘new without tags. It has stains and bobbling. Yet Vinted now expects the buyer to pay postage to return it!!😡
So I’ll just wash it and send it to the charity shop and give shit feedback- I’ve told the buyer this
Right Twitter, I’ve got an unexpected week’s leave 3rd week of April and Im looking for city break recommendations please. Ideally somewhere with good public transport - trains, trams, buses ……
Just paid £9.80 for a coffee and a traybake in Belfast and they spun the iPad round asking for a tip.
For what exactly — surviving the transaction?
Is this a café or a hostage situation?
Disgrace 💚❤️🖤🍷⭐🐓🎈
@Martin95684074@ChezBruce Same here! Sent my husband out for Dominos pizza one night. The only thing I could eat were the jacket potatoes - everything else was “slop”. No fresh veg or fruit.
@ChezBruce Worst part is that some people eat that food and like it.
Remember my wife giving birth in Chelsea and Westminster and having to go to the local cafes and restaurant to get take aways for her
Broke my leg in a car crash in rural Belgium when 18. Ended up in the local hospital for a wk. The food was wonderful. They used to bring roasts on to the ward - remember roast shoulder of lamb with dauphinois spuds and really nice veg. Different world; I made a good recovery!
@halseyszurich@easyJet And it’s check in 3 down in the bowels of the railway station. You then have to lug any oversize luggage (which includes skis and boots and buggies) up to check in 2 in the main airport terminal! Never enough desks open in my experience.
@easyJet we waited in the queue for 47 minutes. That’s too long to bag drop. 4 desks shut. 3 open for bag drop. 1 open for special assistance and speedy boarding. Then specific flights were called. Including ours. So queue was really 1 hour. Unacceptable
1/2 @easyJet you are like a bad relationship that I keep going back to. Why is the queue at Zurich airport so long? Why are only 4 out of 9 bag drop desks open and 1 of those desks is for special assistance?
@British_Airways hi need to arrange a shout out for a retiring teacher on his 150th school trip returning to LHR tomorrow from Valencia- how do I do this?
@evrisupportline parcel urgently needed for tomorrow marked as delivered to wrong address but… parcel taken away by driver as residents said wrong address. Proof of delivery NOT my address. I need that parcel tonight. Have already “chatted” but I need some action !
@CrossCountryUK hideously overcrowded train 0730 from SOU to Manchester. People sitting in reserved seats refusing to move for those who reserved the seat. Those standing in the aisle showing no regard for others being bashed by their bags and back pack. And I paid for this????
@272BookFaith The primary school my D attended had a costume swap day. Parents brought in old costumes which were then reused (often many times) by other children. If no costume to swap parents were asked for a small donation - spent on books
I know it’s Grinchy, but I just KEEP thinking of the difference it could make to authors, & UK publishing. if all the ££ spent on #WorldBookDay costumes went on new books instead, or if each school pooled together all that costume ££, & paid for an author or illustrator visit.
@cierzo1@SimonCalder You need to read the regs which allow families to go through EU gate together:
Schengen Borders Code article 10 (1) and article 2 (5)(a), read together with article 3 (2)(a) of directive 2004/38/EC.
@SimonCalder Splitting family members to pass security, two dual nationals, go nicely quick, and waiting for the other one on the Brexit shame line...at least we can go to look for the suitcases in the meantime.
Five years ago tonight, I was aboard the first ferry from Dover to arrive in Calais after Brexit took effect.
I think we can all agree that leaving the European Union has been marvellous for travellers since then.
Keen to hear your Best Benefits of Brexit.

@poppystudz Hi Poppy, I apologise for the delay to your journey. I am afraid there is a signalling problem at Basingstoke, and all lines are currently blocked. We are working to get this issue resolved however, the disruption is expected until the end of the day. ^LJ
@EC4faith@sussexmarco@Ed_Miliband 4 bed, 3 reception house built in 1920s. £220 pcm and we are nearly £500 in credit. We have a log burner in our kitchen / family room - spend around £250 pa on logs. We have a Vaillant 37 KW ecotec boiler.
£264 for one months gas and electricity. Just two of us, out of the house during the day 5 days a week. What a disgrace.
@Ed_Miliband you utter clown.

@ThePosieParker@Positivteacha My D’s school has a skirt length rule - on or below the knee. Checked on way into school at “meet and greet”. Private conversations held if skirt too short with a 3 strike rule. Longer skirt offered.
@Positivteacha What we wear communicates what we want people to believe our intention is.
School is for learning and a uniform is for the dual purpose of sameness (United) and out of focus. Therefore a standard length for all, with practical leeway, is good.
@YeahNoMaybeUmmm Well, to add to the chocolate, there's the mountain of unsold mince pies that have been half price since before Christmas. Not many takers there or so it seems, although I've smashed 5 or 6 boxes myself 😊
