Tesla is dismantling its Model S and Model X production lines at Fremont to make room for Optimus V3 manufacturing. Production starts late July or August. Long-term targets: 1 million units per year at Fremont, 10 million at Gigafactory Austin. Musk says Tesla is deliberately limiting Optimus V3 demos to prevent competitors from copying it. He called it potentially Tesla's biggest product ever.

Figure 02 robots helped build 30,000+ vehicles at BMW's Spartanburg plant. Now BMW is expanding humanoid robots to its Leipzig EV factory in Germany with Hexagon Robotics' AEON. The factory was built for humans. The robots are moving in.

South Korean AI chip startup DEEPX is expanding its partnership with Hyundai to build a computing platform for generative AI robots. The core problem it is solving: humanoid robots overheat. DEEPX's low-power NPU chips run 20 times more efficiently than Nvidia's Jetson Orin and cost less. Its next-generation DX-M2 chips, built on Samsung's 2nm process, go into volume production in 2027. Hyundai plans to manufacture 30,000 robot units annually by 2028. DEEPX is building the brain that keeps them cool.
