She is not cut out for the OR. Here are the 3 rules I tell every med student/ resident I work with 1. Show up on time 2. Never call out unless you are in rough shape. A little tummy ache from bad sushi last night? Show up. We can figure out things during the day to get you out early. 3. Be kind and respectful to everyone and don’t be an asshole.

This med student: 1. Doesn't show up on time (WAS ONE HOUR LATE TO ROUNDS, TWICE) 2. Doesn't see 2 patients when given ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES 3. Doesn't present coherently 4. Doesn't listen to basic instructions 5. Doesn't work on the list 6. Doesn't communicate when she will be gone, and just LEAVES the hospital mid day when given a task 7. Asks US to notify HER when a case is starting 8. Interrupts attendings and residents when they're talking. Frequently. 9. Literally asked her to scrub a case today and she said okay and didn't scrub it without telling anyone. 10. Is actually unteachable. 11. Started randomly eating a granola bar mid instruction for a task?????? hello???? I'm straight up wondering if I can kick her off the service. You want to be an anesthesiologist and can't even be bothered to show up on time or communicate????? At least TRY????
