@KnowingBetterYT Look at the cars backed out into the street. These schools turn city planning into a giant nightmare every morning at 8 and every afternoon at 3. Maybe it is not the In-n-Out part, but any drive-through part.

@levelsio Nah new condo but I guess it has a great HVAC type air exchange, it’s pretty loud in the city if I open windows so I was worried I was boxing myself in too much

I spent $200 on this thing and even with the windows shut my house won’t go over 800 overnight with two people It’s so annoying here I was hoping CO2 was The One Thing Holding Me Back and I could fix it and all my problems would go away

🌡️ Update on the CO2 bedroom saga I tried this tip by @jesper_bee We have a bathroom in the bedroom with a vent (for removing humidity after showering), so I kept the door open and vent on Anyway it worked CO2 at night peaked at 850ppm, still a bit high but almost half of before with window closed, improvement Sleep was 95% on WHOOP and gf 91% on OURA (inb4 cancelled for tracking things *omg so neurotic*) Will try window open + bathroom vent open tonight but again sound outside at night is an issue The real solution is an inward vent tube to actual bedroom though, as I think the bathroom vent is outward and doesn't get us to 400ppm CO2 by itself Nice fresh air 💨

@pitdesi I took it from Miami to Orlando because of how much easier it is than a plane. Sure, I took Uber at the last mile in Orlando. But I would have to with a plane as well. Would I take something similar from SF to LA - yes. I’d rather not fly that short leg.

@JSX423 First was a legal stop - you must stop anywhere between the stop sign and the actual intersection or crosswalk line. One stop - done.

FSD is so painful to use around others at 🛑 controlled intersections without painted lines. You DO NOT need to stop at the 🛑 AND then stop again at the road edge with visibility. By law in 49 states you stop at the road edge with visibility. Look how natural the car is in front of me - they still stopped to 0. @Tesla_AI - do you know this? @yunta_tsai - just asking for a fender bender with this ridiculous behavior. @FSDyinzer

@levelsio Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) units in Europe, which offer 60-75%+ efficiency, can be bought from specialized HVAC suppliers such as Mycond, Reventon, Hitachi, and Alnor, or via online platforms like Aclimat. Prices for residential units range from roughly €600 to over €3k

I still haven't solved the CO2 bedroom challenge You open the window and you wake up from a 6am garbage truck or barking dogs and sunlight You close it, you suffocate in 1200 ppl at 5am I guess you really need some mini tube in your wall with a vent that opens and closed based on internal CO2 but how do I build that?

@JeremiahDJohns I don’t get it. Isn’t every super-speeding violation taking a point of the license? Isn’t there just 3 points and then you lose your license? Or were those 16 violations actually going 4mph above the limit?

If someone has MORE THAN A HUNDRED VIOLATIONS, the time has come to permanently take their driver's license and throw them in jail. This is "300 professional criminals do the majority of all shoplifting" but for cars. Don't let insane people kill us with their cars.
Governor Kathy Hochul@GovKathyHochul

If you’re speeding over and over again, it’s not a mistake. You’re making our streets dangerous. I’ve got a plan to crack down on super-speeders and make New York City safer. Let’s get it done.

Sorry, I’m a “Blue Button” pusher. Here’s a very simple “push red” framing, and still 22% choose blue. Mankind is not purely logical or statistical, and it’s sensible to take that into account.

@workflowsauce I’d expect SF to believe in blue. I’d expect people on X to believe in blue. It is a certain civic level. But have you stepped out of your echo chamber and answered to yourself: will China choose blue? India? They outweigh all your noble voting. The question is for the world.

> Pressing blue is the only way people die This is “if everyone will just” The majority of red arguments reduce to this Blue accepts that everyone will not just
NanoScream@ironyisabich

@TheEbonyMaw Nothing bad happens if everyone presses the red button but the way the question is set up seems like you HAVE to press blue or else people will die Pressing blue is the only way people die Handy chart stolen from someone in the OP replies

@esjesjesj Not the world, the small part of it. Choosing blue is natural for more civilized parts of the world, but not the whole world. There are at least 3 countries where you have to choose red every day to survive.

@CuriosityonX Why is most NASA imagery worse than a $300 drone? I get the data rates are low, but the images we do see should be more compelling. Splurge on a 4K photo once or twice, if the tech is there...

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@timsoret If you know others to not be rational and thus create deviation in the model, how are you sure that by helping “them” you are not just joining “them” at the death row. “Everyone would just” doesn’t work here - no everyone would follow your rationale at all world scale.

Assuming no possible coordination: If everybody was rational, we would all individually pick red & be safe without needing coordination, trusting that the sum of individual interests would lead to the most optimized outcome. Except that many humans are irrational & dogmatic, and driven by idealistic / empathetic concerns, would pick blue, even if that requires coordination which is not guaranteed & which puts them as risk. Knowing this, even if you’re initially inclined to vote red, the actual moral choice, to avoid the death of those willingly putting their lives at risk, is to vote blue to maximize the chances of saving everybody. In short, if you know that others are not perfectly rational agents, to save them you have to go along with their irrationality, which is counter intuitive.
