Hi, I fully support the equal access to sport at school too.
But, please don't let our children play on artificial grass pitches, especially 3G pitches.
I doubt that you will read this but I really hope one of your aides does.
This will explain why these pitches are so dangerous for our children.
The #RubberCrumb infill is being banned in the EU to protect health and the environment.
Even the manufacturer of the rubber crumb infill has questioned how he is allowed to supply this with such high carcinogenic levels.
And 3G pitches also flood and cost a lot more to rectify. Also, there are toxic PFAS chemicals in ALL artificial grass.

SPORT and health bosses have decided not to warn players about cancer concerns over 3G artificial pitches.
But Sport England, Public Health England and the Department of Health agreed not to highlight the cancer risk.
It was slammed by Nigel Maguire, 54. He lost son Lewis, 20, to Hodgkin’s lymphoma in March after he spent five years training on artificial turf.
Nigel, from Darlington, said: “The fact they have had these meetings shows there is growing concern.”

He only mentions one chemical. (Yale has identified 306 chemicals, 197 are carcinogenic, others are mutagenic and endocrine disruptive.)
He doesn't mention that six of the PAHs are allowed, under our current laws, to contain up to 2,000 times more carcinogenic chemicals (1,000 mg/kg) than allowed in children's toys (0.5 mg/kg). In the EU, this has been lowered to 20 mg/kg, which is still 40 times more carcinogenic than allowed in children's toys, but our government has decided not to adopt this new EU law.

Carcinogenic levels for mixtures are allowed to be up to 1,000 mg/kg.
The carcinogenic level for an article is 1.0 mg/kg, the carcinogenic level for children's toys is 0.5 mg/kg.
After intense industry lobbying, RIVM decided to classify rubber crumb as a mixture instead of an article as a multi-billion $£ industry was at stake!
