This @60Minutes piece on California's high speed rail disaster is incredible. From the comparison to costs in other countries to the questions about where the money went (consultants, lawyers, vendors), and how much supporters like Gavin Newsom have moved the goalposts. Time's Up

Microsoft is putting together a new team to focus on building 100% native apps for Windows 11. And honestly, it’s long overdue. The real problem with Windows 11 isn’t ads, but the shift from native apps to web apps. The rushed adoption of web over native frameworks has hurt Windows 11. From WhatsApp to Weather to the pre-installed video editor, everything is a web app running inside Edge or a Chromium container. Open Task Manager and search for WebView -- you’re going to find many apps are web-based, including Outlook. And this doesn’t even include the Electron apps in Windows 11.

I can’t really think of anything I’d want to use this for because it isn’t permanent. I don’t want to have to set a reminder for myself to go set a loop again. If the claude app asked me weekly to confirm my current (local) loops id be ok with that. I was gonna do maintenance tasks for the repo… but only 7 days! Not enough.

@KyleSwifter Presumably the goal for SwiftUI was to increase performance opportunities by dropping down a layer?

iOS 26 SwiftUI switches to CALayer-based rendering by default is possible. If this breaks your debugging workflow, two ways to disable it: 1. Set `SWIFTUI_DISABLE_MIXED_VIEW_HIERARCHY=1` env var 2. Apply the SPI modifier `mayNotInsertCALayersEffect()`

Claude Code's refusal to use AGENTS files is just beyond stupid now. I get that all LLMs are different but I want my rules to apply across all my agents. Claude Code is the outlier, pathetic.

@Baconbrix If the build fails type checking or due to some other error does it continue to iterate or require PR comments to reprompt it?

Just realized you can develop native apps entirely from the Claude mobile app using your existing Claude Code subscription 🤯 Here it is removing .navigationBarTitleDisplayMode(.large) from my movies app.

In the age of AI agents, a monorepo isn’t just a dev setup. It’s a competitive edge. Everything in one place means agents can explore, analyze, and act across your entire codebase, seamlessly.
