@amuse He says Trump lost the plot because it’s not about Iran or Iranians it’s only about American interests. EXACTLY!!! The plot for the last 7 decades was ass backwards so Trump thankfully did lose that bullsh*t plot and replaced it with the correct one…American First.

This was one of reasons many of us supported Donald Trump. Where has this man gone? Now he’s sending US troops into another Middle East war that will cost us trillions more and precious lives. No wonder he turned his back on me for fighting him to release the Epstein files. What would cause a man to change so much?

The willful ignorance it takes to suggest Iran was enriching uranium hundreds of feet below a giant mountain but had no ulterior motive is astonishing. And Obama bros will still play dumb on that point.
David Axelrod@davidaxelrod

Beyond which, Iran surrendered 97% of its enriched uranium and submitted to ongoing, intrusive inspections by experts from the IAEA. Trump could have improved on that deal & held Iran's nuclear program in check. But he saw it as an Obama legacy, so he ripped it up. Like the ACA.

I really don’t like hearing non-Christians talk about Easter as if it’s some abstract allegory. It’d be better not to talk about it at all. Good Friday isn’t about sacrifice. It’s about Jesus’s sacrifice. God-made-flesh shed his blood on the cross for our sins, so that by grace through faith we could be forgiven and reconciled to God. Acts 4:12: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani@NYCMayor

Today, on Good Friday, we mark a day of sacrifice. Some New Yorkers will abstain from eating; others will spend hours without speaking. Faith, the Bible tells us, is belief in the things unseen. That belief is what will guide so many of our neighbors in solemn reflection and reverence. I wish all those observing Good Friday a blessed day of peace.

Taylor, your post is uncharitably misleading. Your compression of the quotes elides Bishop Barron’s extensive comments explaining Augustinian and Thomistic just war theory in response to Ben’s initial question, which gives the false impression that Bishop Barron is seeking to justify the war in Iran, contradict Pope Leo, or somehow appease Ben.  You know well, as does anyone who watches the interview, that Bishop Barron is doing no such thing. It is a fact that Pope Leo does not specifically refer to the war in Iran in his recent comments–a fact that Bishop Barron simply points out.  St. Thomas Aquinas would never straw man or otherwise misrepresent anyone’s words, especially a fellow Catholic.  Why do you?  Also, take a look at some of the people cheering you on in the comments. Are these the allies you really want?

This Holy Week, in an interview with Ben Shapiro, Bishop Robert Barron told Shapiro that Pope Leo XIV's anti-war comments do not refer to the Iran War. Ben Shapiro: "How should people interpret the Pope’s recent comments on the evil of War?" Bp. Barron: "I furthermore agree with you that Pope Leo is not referring specifically to the Iran War." I suspect Bp. Barron will be receiving a phone call from the Vatican after Easter....

This is straight-up unbelievable. When Charlie Kirk was shot on stage, the team rushed him to Timpanogos Regional Hospital. Candace Owens now insists this hospital was a staging ground … a fake prop in some elaborate assassination cover-up. And her evidence? The hospital didn’t personally reach out to her to rehash the details of the day he died. You read that correctly. That hospital is fake because the nurses, doctors, and trauma care specialists didn’t ring Candace to debrief her about Charlie. @RealCandaceO 🫵 psycho

September 8th 2025—This photo was taken the same day I confided in Cardinal Dolan. I told him everything Dan, and Paula were doing to me. I told him about the attempt to get me removed from the commission by having me resign, which I refused to. Just a few minutes later I had a conversation with President Trump. The President reassured me I was going to remain on the commission. He told me he took care of it. Meaning the attempt to remove me. He said to me, “I told them, I know the real Carrie”. He hugged me and I was so grateful for his support of me. It was a relief knowing I had the support of the President, despite knowing the White House had just called me asking me to resign just a few weeks before this photo was taken at the behest of Dan and Paula. I felt so betrayed by them, but I continued on the mission to protect religious freedom, including my own. I felt the President was getting pressure to remove me from my fellow commissioners, but he chose not to. Dan Patrick and Paula White told me on the phone on August 25th, 2025 just a week after I was asked to resign by the White House PPO office on August 18th 2025 that I was going to remain on the commission. Dan Patrick told me to stop posting on social media because my job on this commission is to protect the President and his reputation. He said my social media posts (pertaining to my Catholic theology, support of the Palestinians in Gaza, criticism of the Israeli government) run “afoul to the President, and Paula White, and other members of the commission”. Paula White told me she had issue with my posts regarding my theological perspective which she said it was “replacement theology”. She told me to get social media posts approved by her before posting. I felt the support I needed by Cardinal Dolan, and Bishop Barron who I also spoke to about this attempt to remove me on the phone on August 21st, just 3 days after the White House phone call. I expressed to Bishop Barron my fear I was being asked to resign due to my social media posts and theological beliefs on Zionism and speaking out for the innocent human life in Gaza. He appeared to support me and my right to post freely on social media in regard to my Catholic beliefs, without fear of being removed. He told me to ignore the attacks against me, and it felt so good to know he had my back. I never thought I’d have to defend myself like this, but after all the attacks against me, simply for standing up for my Catholic beliefs, and innocent human life, I feel I have a right to defend myself.

When is America going to recognize this abuse and demand it to stop? What about the poor people living in tents in Gaza? What about the invasion of Lebanon? If America denounces attacks against Israel, why can’t America denounce Israeli attacks against innocent people? Terrorism goes both ways.

BREAKING: Rabbi Yehuda Gilad, head of Yeshivat Ma’ale Gilboa, visited Khirbet Humsa in the West Bank following a settler pogrom in which a 29-year-old Palestinian farmer was sexually assaulted, his family was beaten, and hundreds of his sheep were stolen. Below is his full statement, translated from Hebrew: Letter from the Head of the Yeshiva, Rabbi Yehuda Gilad With God’s help, Rosh Chodesh Nisan — “a time of atonement for all their generations” Yesterday I went through a very difficult and deeply disturbing experience. I visited Khirbet Humsa (about a 30-minute drive from our yeshiva), where a pogrom carried out by hilltop youth took place about a week ago. I heard the details of what happened there from several sources, including Ruti — a woman I have known for years and trust completely. It turns out that in the early hours of the night, a group of rioters (around 30–40 people) arrived, equipped with sticks and many zip ties. They bound the men (and apparently also two foreign volunteers, though I am not certain of this), and then beat them all over their bodies with fists and clubs. We saw many remnants of the zip ties on the ground. The men required treatment at the hospital in Afula for injuries of varying severity. At the same time, the attackers stole the entire herd — about 300 head — belonging to the few families living there, under unimaginable conditions of poverty. At first, I heard that there had also been sexual violence, and I did not believe it… Yesterday we arrived at the site with Ruti, a friend of mine who is well known to them. When they saw us — Rabbi Avidan Friedman and myself — they visibly recoiled in terror and anxiously pointed to the kippot on our heads. Ruti tried to calm them, explaining that we were not among the attackers. Even so, at the beginning of the meeting, they were hesitant and afraid. I heard directly from a young man — a firsthand witness — what had happened there. From his face, the blue bruise in his eye, and his sorrowful expression, it was clear he was telling the truth. In that same conversation (with the help of a translator), he described in detail the prolonged abuse they endured while bound. Then, with deep shame, he told us something I had previously found impossible to believe. I find it difficult — my hands tremble as I write this about Jews — and yet I will write it, because I am convinced it indeed happened. Yes, these wicked individuals bound his genitals in an extremely painful way — not to mention the humiliation involved. These events recall the pogroms our ancestors endured in various diasporas. Have we become like the worst of the nations? I want to turn to the question: what should be done? But I feel that I am still at the stage of crying out. Alas — what has become of us!
