Arguably their finest hour. Does a fantastic job not just telling a compelling mystery, but digs into both the family and the entire community of Springfield. Also just funny as hell and incredibly cinematic

My first instinct was to say Faulkner did everything Joyce did but better, which takes you down a natural track towards McCarthy - but it's simpler and just as true to say Ulysses is less competent, less beautiful, and less insightful than The Big Sleep.

Watching Educating Rita. God we used to make some good stuff. Now everything is 'heartwarming' and starring Jim Broadbent and Imelda Staunton with an indie acoustic soundtrack and a plot about a dysfunctional community overcoming hurdles together and called The Great Scruffthorpe Choir Project
