Canada just ranked #1 for infrastructure investment attractiveness, surpassing the US and all of Europe.

This isn't an accident – it's the result of a year of laser-focused policy changes, including:

✅Standing up the Major Projects Office to fast-track projects of national interest

✅ Implementing “One project, one review" — a streamlined federal-provincial process to get projects to yes via a single review, rather than duplicative layers of approval

✅ And a deliberate push to double non-U.S. exports, putting new trade corridors and the expansion of existing ones at the centre of our economic agenda

The results are in: Canada is now seen as the most politically stable and predictable environment for infrastructure investment in the world - and private capital is taking notice!

Joey Barton has a criminal record in Britain for tweeting. Six months in prison suspended for eighteen, 200 hours of labour, £23,000 in costs, and a two-year court order forbidding him from so much as naming three British media figures on any platform. He called Jeremy Vine a bike nonce. He posted a photoshop of two pundits as Fred and Rose West. They were insults following his criticism of their performance as sports commentators, nothing actually serious. They were his opinion of people he does not like. In a free country you block him and move on. You do not put him in front of a jury and threaten him with prison. Britain did. Police interviewed him, prosecutors charged him, a Crown Court jury convicted him, and a judge handed down a custodial sentence. For posts on X. This is Orwellian Britain in 2026. Barton has a big platform and can fight back in public. Most of the people these laws are turned on will not.

PM Carney says Ottawa will align industrial carbon tax benchmarks with Alberta's agreement across provinces. The move comes amid industry pushback over competitiveness concerns in the energy sector. Alberta's industrial carbon tax is set to rise to $130/tonne by 2040.

You know how sometimes people compare fracking recovery schemes to thermal methods in the Canadian oil sands? Well, fracking is not an option for us because our oil, in its virgin reservoir conditions, is as viscous as a hockey puck and cannot flow naturally. Provided below is the viscosity-temperature relationship showing that at virgin conditions, the viscosity of Athabasca and Cold Lake oil exceeds 1 million cP, thus requiring heat to mobilize the oil so it can be drained by gravity. Now, going back to the hockey puck example, what happens when you frack a hockey puck? Nothing...it’s just a fractured hockey puck. This is why our oil can only flow via heat conduction or convection mixing, but more on that in a future post. 🫡🪒

@RiseOfAlberta The entire fucking country shares a border with the US, but only Alberta seems willing to sellout the entire country, for their own financial benefit. So to all you right wing religious zealots, that would make you Canada's Judas.

Alberta shares a border with the largest economy on earth and sits on the oil & critical resources they need. The Liberals deliberately poisoned that relationship to energize voters in Toronto. Alberta independence protects that relationship. Staying in Canada destroys it.

Let’s clear something up about MAID in Canada. It does not apply to children. You must be 18 or older. Mature minors do not qualify. Full stop. It does not apply to people simply because they are poor or struggling. To be eligible, you must have a serious and incurable illness, disease or disability, be in an advanced state of irreversible decline, and be experiencing intolerable suffering that cannot be relieved in any way you find acceptable. Financial hardship alone is not a criterion. It is not a rubber stamp. Approval requires assessments by two independent practitioners who review your medical records and confirm you have seriously considered available treatment options. When death is not reasonably foreseeable, a minimum 90-day assessment period is required. People whose only medical condition is a mental illness are not currently eligible either, that eligibility has been postponed to March 2027 while further safeguards are studied. You can have moral or religious objections to assisted dying. That is a legitimate position held by a lot of Canadians. But spreading misinformation about what the law actually says is not an argument. It is just fearmongering. Know wtf you are talking about before you talk about it.

All this used to be underwater Lake Mead is on the border between Nevada and Arizona and it’s water levels are now critically low There are many Data Centers that have been put in the Lake Mead area and draw directly from the lake - Google’s Henderson data center consumed roughly 352 million gallons in one year. It directly pulls from the Lake Mead sourced municipal supply - Flexential Data Center facility used around 20 million gallons in one year - Other Data Centers in the area collectively used over 716 million gallons in 2024, with nearly all the water drawing from Colorado River and Lake Mead sources Pair this with droughts, water demand from agriculture and resident use and now there is almost nothing left… just look at this…. The lake is only at about 32% capacity Why is this being allowed

I appreciate that many people will understandably be frightened by what they are seeing at the Unite the Kingdom demonstration today. The right to protest is fundamental. But it can’t be a cover for inciting hatred. We must stand against attempts to inflame and divide us.

☑️ A major new pipeline moving Alberta energy to world markets ☑️ Massive reductions to the Trudeau-era industrial carbon tax increases that threatened jobs and investment This is what happens when Alberta stands strong and fights for our economy, our workers, and our future.

The Grand Ransom™️has now been signed: a reduced & deferred carbon tax to $140/t by 2040, and the promise of a new pipeline that "is tied to Pathways", a $30BN project that is irrelevant and enormously expensive. No other country in the world is doing this to themselves, just 🇨🇦.

Today our government took a monumental step in getting a pipeline built to Canada’s west coast. We have made Ottawa agree to decrease the industrial carbon tax from $170/ tonne of CO2 starting in 2030 to $130 by 2040, but we have also received assurances for a fast-tracked pipeline approval processes that could see construction start at the end of 2027. We still have work to do. We continue to engage with Indigenous communities as well as industry, and we continue to work towards an agreement on the Pathways Project, a key element of getting a pipeline built. What is certain is demand for Alberta’s oil has never been higher on the global stage. We have an opportunity to get our oil to the world, strengthen energy security for Canada and our trading partners, and bolster our economy for decades to come. #abpoli #pipeline #oil #alberta #canada #ucp
