@puttputtum @nehmdoge Has there been a recent uptick of violence on water street? There was following COVID, but like most things it's mostly trending down down.
There is a slight increase in shootings and homicide (single digits on both still) which does go against broader city trends

@Soulpunx93 @wiz_political Conservatives would probably make it worse while trying to make it better. It starts with the culture, which political actions won't be able to change themselves. Maybe some law work on parental responsibility; since all these problems are happening from kids. Better parenting.

Vastly underreported crime story from early this morning. Water St used to be safe. Downtown Milwaukee used to be safe. Even just a few years ago.
Now numerous shootings have occurred in and around the area.
Really wonder what the benefit is now to those who live in downtown and pay through the nose for rent, etc.
