@LKBU__ Of course, specific to Great Northern is - x.com/GNRailUK/statu…, however the impact is heavily compounded by the other incidents on the network found here - x.com/TLRailUK/statu… ^Scottie

@tomhfh You're right! Why haven't the Police checked his leave request to see if the "Reason for time off" box gives them any clues?
🤦🤦🤦

Did he take the day off work to make this journey or were my taxes once again paying for someone’s idleness?

@MrTibblesNewEra @IsabelOakeshott But the target audience of her tweet are busy scouring Google Earth for scoundrels and reprobates. 😀

Let them do their job.

@alistrathern I've pointed out to @AffinityWater that their website still says that the forthcoming hosepipe ban is "with immediate effect" (under the FAQs) but that the legal notice says the 17th July.
Please prod them as they're ignoring me!
English

@AffinityWater @WestStand133 That page still says the ban is "with immediate effect" but the legal notice says the 17th July.
English

@WestStand133 We're asking customers to use water wisely and stop using their hosepipes so we can protect water supplies for everyone.
Please visit here for more information- affinitywater.co.uk/hosepipeban. - Becky :) 3/3

@AffinityWater @AffinityWater nah sorry but you can do one. Last winter was exceptionally wet ranking in the top 10 wettest in the UK since records began. I’ll be using my hosepipe as and when. In the meantime, you should fix the leaks and invest in the infrastructure.

English

@keithapearson I registered my own domain almost exactly 28 years ago so I didn't need to use ISP or email provider addresses. Just renewed again for another year...
English

@AffinityWater I see that the legal notice says the 17th July and not with immediate effect as stated on your website.
Lying on your website is not a good look 🤦

English

@AffinityWater Excellent clear messaging - not
Here's the email sent to customers earlier today

@SaveWimbldnPark HMRC are also reeling at the loss of declared income from Wimbledon residents as well...
English

For years, Wimbledon homeowners helped house the hundreds of line judges who travelled to SW19 for the Championships.
This year, with electronic line calling replacing them, many local residents have lost that annual rental income.
Another reminder that every decision has an impact on the local community.
A world-class tournament should strengthen its neighbourhood not gradually take opportunities away from it.

The 0.48% annual charge replacing stamp duty and council tax isn't new money.... it's the same bill restructured.
The Monkey in a £300k semi currently paying Band D council tax set on a 1991 valuation has been quietly undertaxed on his actual asset for three decades.
The Gorilla didn't just discover his home. It always knew it was there. 🍌
English

Burnham’s land tax is basically a mansion tax for people who don’t live in mansions.
In the South, millions of ordinary families sitting in 3-bed semis bought decades ago would suddenly be treated like asset-rich oligarchs, taxed every year on notional land values they can’t spend.
Retired couples on fixed incomes, mortgage prisoners, key workers clinging on in high-cost areas – all recast as “under‑taxed” landowners to be squeezed for an extra thousand pounds a year.
This isn’t about fairness, it’s about a state that looks at your home and sees a cash machine, then blames you for living in the wrong postcode.
Reply with your area and rough house value – could you actually afford a 1% annual land charge on top of everything else?
