RARE SCENARIO & GREAT ACHIEVEMENT: It’s very rare for #Netflix to directly contact filmmakers for deals nowadays, especially for small- to mid-budget films. However, they approached the makers of #Eko for an OTT deal and successfully closed it. That’s a remarkable recognition in the current market scenario

2025 and we are still suffering the same fraud by @amazonIN with expensive defective/used items being repackaged and sold with a non-refundable tag and no easy way to connect to a customer care member also. Gonna lose your long term Prime members too with this kind of service

@prasanto @blogchatter I grew up being clearly in the 'fried to the point of crisp' south indian fry style. But in recent years, have really enjoyed sushi, something that I never really thought would happen.

Countries like the US ($82,769 GDP per capita, 29.7% top 10% share) and Japan ($41,130, ~30%) retain adjusted GDP per capita ($58,200 and $28,791) above African levels ($1,150) after removing the richest 10%. Scandinavian nations (e.g., Norway, $87,925, ~25%) also qualify due to low inequality. Surprisingly, Bangladesh ($2,824, 27.4%) adjusts to $2,049, exceeding the threshold. High GDP and moderate inequality are key.

Yes, if the top 10% richest are excluded, India's GDP per capita drops to ~$1,128, similar to African countries like Senegal ($1,090) and Cameroon ($1,150). This reflects India's high income inequality, where the top 10% hold ~57% of national income, skewing the overall figure of $2,613.

@shaaaantu claims @theliverdoc ignores modern medicine's flaws & backs pharma, saying homeopathy & ayurveda threaten profits. Evidence shows @theliverdoc, a hepatologist, critiques alt-med validly—homeopathy’s a placebo, ayurveda’s weakly supported & risky. His focus is patient safety, not bias.

He died by suicide at the age of 77. At the age of 77. He was rich. Zero financial woes. Let that sink in. In other parts of the world, senior doctors retire at 65 and enjoy the rest of their lives. It is not always about the money. In India, senior doctors are overworked because the public perception is that a senior doctor with many patients is always the best option, leaving hard-working, up-to-date, well-read junior doctors as "inexperienced" and with fewer patients. For a patient or their family a doctor who picks up their call at night and answers their silly questions at any time of the day or responds to a completely different patient query and vague reports send over Whatsapp is a "great, noble doctor." Doctors must start seeing this profession as a job, a means of earning comfortably and not get married to it. Take charge of your health. Take charge of your family life. Have your own small clinic set up to earn on the side, and not just a big hospital for you to drain yourself out. I know doctors who are heavy drinkers. Many doctors are depressed. They have nothing to look forward to except their patients. Diversify your actions. Do something beyond work. Work is not everything. Take small breaks. Travel. See places around. Play a bit in stock markets. Engage beyond the hospital. Play games. Take up a sport. Join a group. Visit new cafes. Learn to unwind. Doctor work culture is so toxic in India, toxic positivity has taken over most doctor lives here. To see more patients, perform more procedures, spend more time in the hospital, return home late, sleep lesser than the other doctor, wake up early and go to bed late - these are all considered "normal" for a doctor in India. This is not f*cking normal. It is an unhealthy obsession that will later take over your physical and mental health. The corporate medical world does not care for you, but you can care for yourself if you want to and have a comfortable life. It is possible, once you start thinking about it.

Hello, actual microbiome researcher here. Bacteriophages are giant viruses that feast on various types of bacteria. The presence of large numbers of bacteriophages is a measure of severe bacterial contamination from various sources including human excreta. Sewage water contains very large amounts of bacteriophages. It doesn't make it drinkable. The Government will always find such so-called scientists with a penchant for twisting and misinterpreting scientific data to fit their narrative, instead of making the public more aware, to prevent widespread negative healthcare events. This is a government of the people, by the people, but definitely not for the people.

A groundbreaking study by renowned scientist Dr. Ajay Sonkar has revealed that the #Ganga River remains completely germ-free despite over 60 crore visitors taking holy dips during #MahaKumbh in #Prayagraj, #UttarPradesh. The research shows that Ganga is the world's only freshwater river containing 1,100 types of bacteriophages that naturally purify water by eliminating pollution and killing harmful bacteria. If my kids join medicine - I will be concerned , but won’t stop that. If they insist on doing PG in India, I would be worried and discourage that. If they insist on joining govt hospital, I would do everything in my power to stop that. That’s the “reddest” of red lines.
