@SullyCNBC I have a feeling the Russians and Chinese will prevent that from happening as part of the bigger plan.

Dinner with my college buddies last week I threw my card down and sent the receipt to the group chat. 4 out of 5 paid me back within a few hours. The last guy still owes me $120. It’s been 3 days, so I texted him privately: “Hey man, can you shoot me the money when you get a chance?” At what point do you stop reminding someone and just accept you’re never seeing that money again? What’s the move here?

@Matt_Pinner @jlounsbury59 Yes, your pet looks for you at that moment, sometimes love is hard and death adds value to that process, embrace it, feel it, move on and get a Bernadoodle

@CREHiddenAlpha In that case, he's either an idiot with money to burn and was too eager to think straight or was making the move for tax reasons more that return in equity.

You can rent a $2.4 million house in Irvine, CA for $5,700. Let me know how that makes sense. Mortgage payment would be $16,000 a month. Prop tax is $2,580 a month, insurance and HOA is $969. With the cost of maintenance, you basically lose money even if you buy it all cash.

@leadlagreport True, but I have observed that the enjoyment of fortune (which is what matters) comes more often after accepting yourself. Accepting yourself is a lot easier after some hard work and perseverance.

If you work hard at your job, you’ll earn an income. If you work hard on yourself, you’ll earn a fortune. Do not relent.

@Codie_Sanchez I agree, however, also oint out, less or calculated movement, helps in mastering patience. It's a bit chicken or egg.

This is probably one of the most important divergences in the economy today. The Fed now owns one of the smallest shares of outstanding Treasury debt in over a decade. Yet federal debt continues to compound at an unsustainable pace. The Fed always comes to the rescue. Act accordingly. tavicosta.substack.com/p/the-case-for…

@texasrunnerDFW @Mark___Taylor Life is funny that way, when I moved to the beach, I thought I would surf more. What happened is I checked the waves a lot more, but when I lived inland and packed the car and drove, I surfed no matter the conditions. Familiarity can breed indifference.

Old people moving to Florida is the biggest scam on the elderly. A bunch of 65+ year olds paying $500 a month HOA fees for pool facilities they never use because they all sit inside and watch TV, while losing touch with their families.

Boomers have had their day and are trying to come to terms with their fleeting grasp of reality while thinking what was, is still what is. No living legendary investor has had to grapple with very novel but profound question of “what is money?” as they were born into a fiat monetary system. I believe Boomers inability to grok Bitcoin is actually an inability to accept their own decline and eventual deaths.

I bought a duplex in California three months ago for $255,000 I spent $40,000 fixing it up and getting it rented It’s now worth 360,000 I’m in the process of refinancing and getting a loan for $300,000 I’ll be able to get 100% of my money out of the project and look for the next deal to buy The tricky part is finding what part of the country that works in and once you crack that code go all in in that neighborhood if you’re looking to buy and hold What neighborhood near you will this work in?
