@merindie1 It is a bit harder to pinpoint long term wheat production in Tassie. We could create the product if there is enough demand for it.

@bentags Hi Ben, it provides the output as an API, which is designed for Ag tech companies or others to build it into their products.

@ralawes Not sure if I'm being simple Roger, but how do we actually access/use it?

Know your #wheat seed size! In this sample of 40 current hard winter wheat varieties, seed size ranged from 10,499 to 19,691 seeds/lb. Although half of the varieties fell in the 13,300-15,000 seeds/lb categories, the other half was either much larger or smaller than that.

@mdfowler100 Hi Mark, yes a system has been created to model temperature with a topo map.

These stations (where we farm) are broadly in the same area but show the (big) difference between hillsides and valleys. #allcold🥶 Has anyone modelled temp change / change in altitude (height above sea level)? Or are there just too many other variables (topo, soil-type, etc)?

It's the 20th of April, so time to start tweeting the #CSIRO #Graincast wheat yield forecasts for 2021! We've added a few bells and whistles for this season: maps of soil water, water-limited yield forecast (see map) and their uncertainty as well as state specific forecasts.
