The $800 million payment from the PTCL privatization deal has reportedly remained unpaid since 2005, and with penalties it has now reached nearly $6 billion. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reportedly reminded Dubai again in January, yet there was no serious response. If Pakistan has to take the matter to an international court, then it should — national money should never be abandoned.
