@airindia is being very inefficient. A few days ago I was downgraded and rebooked to a flight one hour earlier. Had to cancel and could not attend an important meeting! Very reluctant to fly air India nowadays! Foreign flights are a strict no no!
Amit.@raoamitkumar_

How is this acceptable, @airindia ? Two of us booked a direct flight from Delhi to Singapore scheduled for 3rd May at 00:40 AM. The tickets were booked nearly two months in advance. Today, immediately after completing web check-in, we received a message stating that the flight has been rescheduled to 4th May and is no longer a direct flight. When we contacted customer support, we were given only two options: either travel on 4th May (arriving at 18:30) or cancel and book afresh. If we travel on 4th May, we will miss our important bookings. If we cancel and book afresh, we will have to pay nearly four times the original fare. What makes this even more frustrating is that we can still see the same flight, along with other options around the same time, available on @makemytrip. However, we were told these cannot be offered to us because they fall under premium economy. This leaves us in an extremely difficult position. We have a clear requirement to reach Singapore on 3rd May – how exactly are we supposed to manage under these circumstances? @RamMNK

Here is how pathetic @airindia is 👇 They finally moved us to a flight on 2nd May instead of 3rd May. But here is the catch: 1) It is a connecting flight via BOM. We paid for a direct flight. 2) The original flight was cancelled after web check in, so we had already paid for seats of our choice. Yet we were made to pay again for seats. How is this allowed? @RamMNK @MoCA_GoI Where does this extra money go? 3) We had to book a hotel for an extra day, paying a premium for a last minute booking. Why am I being punished for Air India's fault.

Support system in India is just chatbots responding online and then forgetting all about it. Reminder @makemytrip @makemytripcare

Hey @makemytrip I have been trying to resolve an ongoing issue regarding a cancellation of a flight ticket but I can’t make any progress. Do you have any sort of customer support?

@porendra @airindia Brother, I completely agreed with you. Our return flight is with Singapore Airlines. The convenient timing was the only factor that made us book with @airindia . But lesson learned.

@raoamitkumar_ @airindia Bhai Ji, Who advised you to take these flights. Particularly, When Singapore Airlines is available. Maybe a little costly initially. Ultimately, you tend to pay more, like you are doing now.

@raoamitkumar_ @airindia This is criminal. @DGCAIndia what's going on. Tkt booked two months advance need to be honoured. Or refund with full compensation including loss of opportunity, increased fare, harrassment & penalty. It's a contract & need to be fulfilled in the spirit of original booking.

Sir, they didn't even felt the need to talk to the passanger. They just sent a text on WhatsApp that your flight has been changed. When I called them, they were like if you want to accept the changed flight, take it, or cancel and book afresh. The issue is when I booked two months back, we paid 36K. But if we cancel and book afresh, we have to pay 175+K . Isn't it a clear loot?

@raoamitkumar_ @airindia This is too bad, it is arrogance on top of cheating. If there is flight on same time and same destination, #airindia must give you seats in that flight even if it is premium economy. We thought with #tatagroup taking it over, will make it more reliable and trusting but not.

@BarshaPanda @beastoftraal @airindia Well. I had no choice but to accept the flight a day earlier. We had to book a separate hotel for one day. Air India people did not respond in DM. And over call they asked me to cancel and book afresh. ** We had paid 36K for two tickets, which are priced at 170K+ for two now.

With fuel supply & price fluctuations this is happening across the board. Some relatives booked to travel to US via London on British Airways business class just got additional fare demand.

@raoamitkumar_ @airindia In fact airlines & booking portals have come up with new options & charges like LOCK ur fare & LOCK ur flight. May be one of the reasons such things r practiced. Making it another earning option. But who will take care of all this @DGCAIndia @FinMinIndia
