The local PD showed up to my house to hand deliver flowers for my birthday earlier this week. This is why so many people are moving to TN. I'm so grateful for my community and our law enforcement officers.

Neiwert's hypocrisy check: You spent years branding everyone right of center a "hate group" via your SPLC gig, raking in donor cash. Now the feds indict SPLC on 11 counts — wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering — for secretly funneling $3M+ (2014-2023) to KKK, Aryan Nations, and neo-Nazi leaders... while telling donors they were "dismantling" them. FBI informants ≠ a "charity" defrauding donors to prop up the very extremists it fundraises against. One's regulated law enforcement. The other is alleged fraud. Your old "hate group" smears just aged like milk. How's that "Age of Insurrection" looking now? What's even better, you couldn't create a response yourself, you had to wait for USA Today to write a weak defense and raise a false equivalence to the FBI paying informants. Near as I can tell, the indictment alleges all of this went well beyond passive intelligence gathering. In the case of the Charlottesville event, one paid individual (>$270,000) was allegedly: --A member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 Unite the Right rally. --Helped coordinate transportation and logistics for attendees. --Attended at SPLC's direction, made racist postings under their supervision. This goes well beyond passive intelligence-gathering. Prosecutors argue SPLC wasn't just infiltrating — they were funding and benefiting leaders of the very groups they solicited donations to "dismantle," while publicizing some of the stolen documents/intel for their own reports. SPLC was manufacturing extremism to keep the donations rolling in from naive donors.

The SPLC is a hate group.
