Panic erupts after Delta DL104 Engine is engulfed in Flames after Takeoff Delta Airbus A330-300 (DL104, ~286 total aboard) experienced left-engine failure with visible fire and debris shortly after takeoff from São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU) bound for Atlanta. Pilots declared emergency, isolated the failed engine climbed briefly to ~4,500 ft, and returned for safe landing back at GRU after ~10 minutes airborne. All passengers and crew safe with zero injuries.
