@MATruman @TriciaCaputo Agreed. What makes this particularly shocking is the regularity of HMRC issuing penalties on the basis that taxpayers are expected to know about arcane laws and that (somewhere) the relevant information is on HMRC's website had they known to look there in the first place.

The opportunity has been offered to “come together”. An opportunity to have arguments heard in Court of Appeal rather than in a new case @ the FTT where HMRC will argue it is bound by Hoey. To get finality sooner rather than later. And crucially before FN’s or APNs can be issued.

All those who called for people to come together and support one cause- for pre-2011 this is the one case that has proceeded to the Upper Tier Tax Tribunal. Now is the one chance to come together and support a case with a genuine chance of defeating HMRC.

Can I suggest that the same team who manage to reliably schedule delivery of #LoanCharge letters to arrive just before Xmas or bank holidays are used? They always manage to arrive when the BI teams schedule them for maximium stress from what I can see.
