I actually think Iavrone does the right thing to be honest. Why pay for yearlings when it such a guessing game. Why not just pay a premium for established horse already and then ride along for acoclades. I think Iavrone hit rate higher than buying yearlings. I mean he over Dubai

@Domsavides @Tinky47flat I named a horse Zelda in March of ‘21. The jockey club rejected it because of being a persons name. Few months later Moss’ name one of Zenyatta’s foals Zelda.

And you know it was available because it let me submit it as a foal name not just a name reservation … to say it sounded too much like another name fine…( there is only one Marcus Aurelius) but then to also go on to say it can’t be used till 2027 anyways… just come on… been waiting years for it to become available and it was .

Wowsers. Seems outrageous, and a horrible look for The Jockey Club...
