Is it not possible, nay, probable, that my whole life is just a product of my or someone else's imagination?

@ayojoestar I would send smoke signals up in the air and wait for a response. Then I would send an African swallow laden with a coconut filled with payment. They would send receipt for payment and ticket back.

@Nobody29aa @s_m_marandi I think it’s more telling that the whole world is silent whilst this is happening, the same as with what’s happening with Cuba. The hypocrites that preach freedom but pick and choose who deserves it.

@s_m_marandi Is it funny that Iran sits and waits to get hit again while innocent people and entire villages are being wiped out in Lebanon? If Iran had been serious and shut down the global economy they would be in a position now to make demands. But it’s LEGO cartoons and laughs instead.

You’re standing on a planet with molten lava at its core. Trees are turning sunlight into air you can breathe. Your heart is beating without you asking it to. There’s a moon in the sky and bugs that glow. This whole thing is absurdly beautiful. Don’t forget to notice it.

Don't forget to stockpile salt. It seems incredibly common and cheap right now, but absent affordable transportation fuels and engine lubricants, salt becomes shockingly scarce and valuable as a multi-purpose survival commodity.

@redundant_human Because of the actions of previous governments, it would take probably 20 years of One Nation being in leadership before we started to see improvement... This country will NEVER be the same again

AUSTRALIA WARNS IRAN CONFLICT COULD SEND OIL TO $200 Australia’s government warned that a worsening Iran conflict could drive oil prices to $200 a barrel and trigger a global economic shock. In its annual budget, the Treasury said prolonged fighting or damage to Middle East energy routes could disrupt oil supplies, push inflation above 7% and cause Australia’s economy to shrink. Oil prices already climbed after President Trump rejected Iran’s latest proposal and doubts grew over the ceasefire. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz also remained disrupted. Treasurer Jim Chalmers said Australia’s economic outlook now depends heavily on how the Middle East conflict develops.

@RhondaGarad @richardhirschs1 The Atlantic Guard is an oil tanker, showed as arr on 9/5 at 1pm and left at 6.30pm with status Canc. Was from Washington and now going to Taiwan. Marine tracker shows it off the coast of Australia now.

This budget is largely irrelevant while the straits of Hormuz remain closed. All this debate about NG, CGT irrelevant. Australia is weeks away from falling off an energy cliff. We hit Diesel and jet fuel tank bottoms in next 6 weeks (dashboard below). A level 4 fuel emergency is likely to be declared in June or July. When planes stop flying and trucks stop moving, the economy hits a brick wall. EVERYTHING changes when Australia enters another COVID type shutdown. lastdrop.au
Dr Richard Hirschson@richardhirschs1

Without fuel, Covid type lockdowns will occur. Australia, and the globe, will shut down, not because they don’t want to move, but because they can’t move. The lucky country 🇦🇺 may not be the most self sufficient country. #OilCrisis #Lockdown

@rationalaussie The Political class are very aware of it, whilst the average Joe may not be. It’s gives the polis enough time to plan and coordinate. You see it in how all the media has now fallen in line, much like Covid.

I am concerned that not enough people have internalised the consequences of creating an economic and social environment where your average Joe no longer has anything to lose. The political class, in particular, clearly does not understand this.

Australia has about a month of fuel supply. Of the promised 50+ fuel tankers, at least 6 have been cancelled. No one knows if any will get here. Some experts are predicting a Level 4 fuel emergency in June/July — when prices shoot up and rationing starts.

@RhondaGarad @richardhirschs1 It’s in the data sets on the port of Brisbane website. It will show what’s scheduled, cancelled and arrived. I haven’t had enough time to deep dive but the arrived is seriously lacking to our usage. Let me pull up the last 7 days if I can and give you cancelled data
