May 18 2026: the day American democratic socialism is born🌹

State Senator @keldahelenroys, who is also running for Governor, on last night's failed deal to spend the some of the state's surplus. "I think that we need to offer long term property tax relief."

Are we going to stop Minnesota’s Madness and Illinois’ Insanity from taking over Wisconsin in 2026? YOU BETCHA.

JUST IN: The Supreme Court rejects Virginia Democrats’ attempt to revive a new voter-approved congressional map. nbcnews.com/politics/supre…

Trump lost Wisconsin in 2020. In every recount. In every court. Now he’s sending the FBI to intimidate our election officials. This is bullshit and Wisconsinites know it.

Last night, Tom Tiffany killed a common sense plan to invest more badly-needed resources in our schools, and to provide property tax relief to Wisconsin families struggling with high costs. Shockingly, Tiffany was aided and abetted by certain self-serving Democratic candidates for governor who would rather boost their own personal political ambitions than serve our kids and taxpayers. Imagine if those candidates had acted like the leaders they profess to be. Imagine if they had paused before sending press releases and Twitter threads and jumping to name calling. Imagine if they had set aside their bruised egos and leaned in. Ultimately, they could still have voted no or opposed the bill, but they never even gave it due diligence. That’s not leadership, that’s gamesmanship. These Democratic candidates exposed themselves for lacking the maturity and responsibility a governor must have if they are to move our entire state forward. Over the past few months, I have listened to their plans to spend every last penny of the surplus (sometimes a few times over) with no plans for what happens next. I’m the only candidate with plans and experience to build an economy and create good paying jobs for Wisconsinites. They were mad that others, including their own Governor who has delivered them fair maps, had suggestions for their piggy bank. Don’t believe the revisionist narrative that they care about fiscal responsibility. They just want to be completely in charge of all of the surplus. This endless partisan warfare, disrespect, and politicians only looking out for themselves is exactly why Wisconsinites are so disgusted with politics and rightly believe our system is broken. As our next Governor, I will stand up to Trump. I will seek bipartisan solutions and I won’t call names and throw insults. And I will continue to get things done for our people.

@JuForthePeople @DSAMadison @DemSocialists Socialism is not as cool as you think it is.
