Actual Saturday in March in the life of a mid-30s guy in the Salt Lake suburbs:
6:30 wake up, no alarm
7 make breakfast for wife and toddler
8 eat breakfast and walk dog
9 take wife and toddler skiing
12 get home to feed toddler lunch and put him down for a nap
1 pm 12 mile trail run from house
2:30 twenty minute hot tub right after run for heat adaptation and recovery
3 hang out with family
5 make dinner for family
6 eat dinner
7 bath time for toddler
8 bed time for toddler
9 bed time for parents
Wouldn’t change a thing.

4:30am - wake up
5am - 12 mile run
6:30am - lift
8am - cook breakfast for family
9-5pm - activities w/ family
5pm - cook dinner for family
6pm - sauna
6:30pm - movie w/ family
8pm - sleep

Day in the life of a mid 30s guy in the suburbs (Saturday edition/no kids): 7:30am — wakes up before his alarm anyway 8:00 — walks the golden retriever 8:30 — chug a black coffee 9:30 — Costco run that somehow turns into $347 12:30 — eats samples like it’s lunch 2:00 — “quick” nap that ruins the rest of the day 4:30 — stands in the backyard staring at nothing 6:00 — gets yelled at by his wife for something he definitely did wrong 7:30 — 1.5 beers = exhausted 9:15 — falls asleep mid-movie he picked 2:30am — wide awake for no reason, contemplating everything Same script every weekend

I have a theory.
I think Connor Mantz is a “super responder” to super shoes.
Just listen to how his feet strike the ground. He’s putting so much force into each foot strike, especially at his body weight.
The energy return he gets from carbon-plated shoes has to be insane.

100 Mile Race Complete. Wish I had better news about my performance. Sadly, anything that could have gone wrong did. The temps wiped me out, and I never recovered from it. I found myself unable to pee for about 8 hours and had to walk the last 25 miles. I’ll be out for a while.😮💨
