No one cried “uglification” and “masculinization of women” or “girl bosses” back in the day when characters like these were in different mediums🚀 Whether they were main or side characters, heroes or villains, people didn’t overanalyze and let their fantasizes make them look for or make up imaginary reasons preemptively hate things. I’ve lived in a time when we didn’t read reviews or looked up artists’ profiles to know their political affiliations or what they said about whom 10 years prior or so. We played games and watched movies and we made whatever we got out of them and we either loved them and replayed them or we moved on to something new. I totally cannot relate to the mentality of wanting to be a crusader fighting for a made up fight over non-existent oppression🎤
