I am asking why on earth I would ever assume it an accident that the US military hit a school? There is no evidence to suggest it is an accident other than assumptions. Why wouldn’t the US target a school?

The amount of assumptions you seem to be able to make that match your biases based on very little information is truly astounding. Your premise assumes: - It was our missile that hit the building - The building was actually a school - There were actual kids in that building ALL of that information comes from Iran State Media, which we all know with 100% certainty lies all the time. Even if all of the above bullet points are true, it doesn't mean our missiles never miss, or that we may have been fed bad information that suggested the building wasn't a school (it was a building in an IRGC military compound after all). But to pretend just because you have a weak understanding of our military capabilities and risks, and you think "woke" somehow means "bomb schools" doesn't translate into your conclusions being in any way sane or sound. And that's a you skill gap.

The emotional response is identical, is the point. But I get it, Soldiers dying in military action is "part of the plan" so nobody freaks out about it. A school on the other hand isn't part of the plan, which is why Iran quite likely made up the story - to pull at your heartstrings. If it proves that it WAS a US strike, and it WAS a school, and there WERE children in it who died - that's horrible. But all War is horrible. I tire of constantly explaining this to people.
