i used to go to grapevine mills to eat at rainforest cafe and play videogames at the big arcade while my mom shopped i think seeing a capsized cybertruck floating like some lesser simulacrum of a dying loch ness monster would have made my childhood complete
Grapevine Police@GrapevinePolice

Yesterday, GPD and GFD were dispatched to Grapevine Lake, where a Tesla Cybertruck was stranded in the water. The driver drove into the lake to use the “Wade Mode” feature when the vehicle became disabled. The passengers abandoned the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Co-worker just informed me that Truman’s neighborhood in the Truman show is real and his house is Matt Gaetz’s childhood home and I don’t know what to do with this information

It’s an hour long conversation with a US Senate candidate that’s 15 minutes on Medicare 4 All and 45 minutes on Israel. Matt talked a whole lot of shit about McMorrow on Twitter and in the intro+outro of this video. Want to guess his tone during the actual conversation? 😬

Vet source responds to this important reporting from Fox News: “Don’t want young men to draw dicks and jerk off in 120 degree heat in porta shitters? Don’t start stupid wars in the desert,” he says. “I guarantee you everyone from Pete Hegseth to Tom Cotton has also jerked off in a porta shitter. JD Vance.” Clearly this requires follow up questions from the press corps. Cc @JulianAndreone

FIRST ON FOX: Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner's deleted Reddit account reveals graphic posts about masturbating in portable toilets and praising explicit military restroom graffiti — the latest in a growing trail of vulgar comments that could define his race against Susan Collins. Platner has dismissed past controversies as 'joking' and 's***posting,' but GOP strategists say the pattern raises fundamental questions about his judgment and fitness for office. He became Democrats' presumptive nominee after Gov. Janet Mills dropped out last month.

@workinatbrigs @esjesjesj I think having it centered around Leia was one too many characters you knew where they’d end up. I think it could’ve been a fun little adventure if theyd just brought in some new elements.

@esjesjesj @elonmusk You don't own it either. It has a transcendent value which makes it despicable to adapt it without being faithful to it and its message.

Wokists are so narcissistic that they cannot understand that the Odyssey is more important to the general public than their concerns about political expediency. They feel they are the only ones who are entitled to feel offended. And they are offended by anything that doesn’t treat them as the centre of universe. They will even freak out about pronouns. They will start calling you a racist just to control you. They will start calling you an extremist because you don’t want your culture to be liquidated and disrespected. It is time for the silent majority, the non-woke, to start feeling very offended with woke culture and give it the treatment wokists have been giving us for more than a decade now.
Variety@Variety

Why is Elon Musk melting down over #TheOdyssey and the Oscars? "Every best picture winner in the Academy’s 98-year history — from the 'Wings' in 1929 through 'One Battle After Another' this past March — clears the Oscars' new inclusion rules. That also includes 'Oppenheimer,' the film directed by Christopher Nolan, with whom Elon Musk had no problem until this past week. And Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of Homer’s 'The Odyssey,' whenever the Academy gets a look at it, would also clear the inclusion standards, and it’s not because Lupita Nyong’o was cast as Helen of Troy," writes Variety's Clayton Davis. variety.com/2026/film/awar…
