@zoltanxvamos @TalkeyHockey @KPBails I commend him for uprooting his life and yes, he is a standup guy. I guess I want to know more than just passionate about the team. Not knocking him, just trying to learn about what he sees as a successful team and how we will get there.

@rickeypea @TalkeyHockey @KPBails Not his take, but his passion is clearly high for the franchise. He did uproot his life in Sweden.
However, I wonder about the "Player Development" aspect of his role. Yes, he's going to be heavily involved in leadership building. His experience brings that.
I wonder elsewhere.

I know everybody is in an uproar, but I'm willing to give Chayka/Sundin a chance.
Sundin isn't moving his entire family over from Sweden as a PR look, he's got plenty of pull.
Chayka does what he wants and I respect it. See what he can do in a real organization.

LOL As much as I didnt' like Mats as VPHO, I like this less. Sundin now actually feels like little more than a handshaker. It's more in line with his (lack of ) experience, but you have a GM with the ability to make decisions on their own & how did that work with BT at the helm

There's been a lot of speculation that the Leafs could use their cap space to acquire a good player/bounce back candidate with a bad contract like Hamilton/Meier from NJ. Dallas can be added to that list, a lot of their fan base seem to want to move Harley or Hintz. I wonder if the team feels the same

@Jasoaks My gripe with it is like, what did Cooper do this year that Bednar didn't, but also Cooper has only been nominated twice before this and has never won the award, which seems like a crime

Wild to think that Jared Bednar, one of the best coaches in the sport, has been nominated for the Jack Adams just once in his entire career.
Once again, Bednar wasn't nominated this year despite his best season as a coach. Avs being snubbed seems to be the theme of award season
