@nenshi Untruth. She could be PM if she decided to. Your politics is not genuine or real. It will fail, just like your party in Ottawa.

@BraddrofliT Biden never did this. He kept tariffs in place. The rest of the so-called Trump missteps will be ignored by an economy that continues like no other on this planet. Again, Canadian rhetoric concerning Trump, Trump, Trump will sink Canadians further and further behind.

Here’s the part no one is saying: The next president won’t get a real first term. They’ll inherit a repair job. Rebuilding alliances. Restoring credibility. Undoing damage. An entire presidency spent fixing what Trump broke.

@IvisonJ Actually it's not strange. Trump wants to control all of the Americas. He is soft on "enemies" but tought on allies as he feels he can bully his allies. Canada must respond and refuse to fall into a trap that puts our nation at his mercy.

@justin_sens @erinotoole Parts, yes. Those expenditures that relate to national defense. I would surmise the bulk of those expenditures went to the task of fisheries and oceans. This is the likely reason for not including them in the last 70 years of NATO compliances.

This is profoundly misguided and quite strange coming right after the President’s visit to China. Canada has been and will be an ally that shares values of liberty. As a Canadian whose grandfather deployed to Alaska for joint defence in WWII, I hope we don’t lose sight of that.
Under Secretary of War Elbridge Colby@USWPColby

A strong Canada that prioritizes hard power over rhetoric benefits us all. Unfortunately, Canada has failed to make credible progress on its defense commitments. DoW is pausing the Permanent Joint Board on Defense to reassess how this forum benefits shared North American defense. 1/3

@rushicrypto Corporate welfare is a product of corruption. It has zero value regarding the core responsibility of governance. Picking winners and losers creates divisions within a fair marketplace. I would cancel it all.

If capitalism is so great, why do corporations need so many tax breaks, subsidies, exemptions, grants, legal protections, bailouts, and trade protections? When citizens need these things, why is it socialism?

@erinotoole @Parental_OnX Perhaps you should read Sam Cooper's last article on Substack. I remember the DOJ receiving 3 billion dollars plus from TD BANK for accusations of money laundering questionable deposits in the USA. The deputy chair of TD Bank is also the chair of Brookfield Industries. Informed.

With Keir Starmer's resignation seemingly imminent, Canada is looking strong. We have a Prime Minister who's leading a middle power resistance movement against Trump. Leading a government that is, for now, enjoying historic, overwhelming support across Canada. Canadians are more united than ever. Keir Starmer wasn't the right leader for this moment. Mark Carney and Canadians, are.

I am sick and tired of grown adults calling the climate crisis a hoax. This is not a debate, the science has been settled for decades. Your ignorance is not just embarrassing, it is actively destroying the planet and every living thing on it.

@timhodgsonmt How about getting control of your spending. Government employees + consultants receive 20% of your total federal budget. 104 billion. Almost 300k average per public servant. What does it cost the private sector?

Canada just ranked #1 for infrastructure investment attractiveness, surpassing the US and all of Europe.

This isn't an accident – it's the result of a year of laser-focused policy changes, including:

✅Standing up the Major Projects Office to fast-track projects of national interest

✅ Implementing “One project, one review" — a streamlined federal-provincial process to get projects to yes via a single review, rather than duplicative layers of approval

✅ And a deliberate push to double non-U.S. exports, putting new trade corridors and the expansion of existing ones at the centre of our economic agenda

The results are in: Canada is now seen as the most politically stable and predictable environment for infrastructure investment in the world - and private capital is taking notice!

It cannot be the case that the projects that get prioritized in Canada are those where a Premier threatens to leave the country. Next week, I’ll be meeting with the Prime Minister to bring him a list of projects we can work on for the benefit of all Canadians.

This story is quite radicalizing. CBC sent out reporters to find refugee sob stories, and the best they could do was a woman who entered Canada on a visitor visa, magically decided she was now a refugee, and has been living exclusively off benefits ever since. cbc.ca/news/canada/ot…

When the CEO of Canada’s largest tech company, is asking Liberals to repeal Bill C-22, and the very tech companies being asked to spy on Canadians, are saying they will leave Canada instead, and take their tax dollars with them YOU KNOW, you’ve made a very big mistake.

The moment Alberta independence signatures cross 300,000 & submitted Suddenly the airwaves are flooded with: Russia narratives U.S. interference narratives Fake AI YouTube channel stories Alberta voter data leak headlines Attempts to tie the UCP to controversy Then out comes Mark Carney promising deregulation, faster approvals and suddenly acting like Ottawa discovered urgency overnight. Amazing how quickly the political class moves once national unity and public anger become REAL threats. Convenient timing across the board.
