@rishabyd

Terrible programmer, just here to find a reason not to code.

@madeby_ldt They test things on apple first then add to android after stabilty checks. so android is still their priority.

@PolymarketMoney Devs are building another Oracle without realizing it. Best move: boycott Anthropic’s models and ecosystem (except Bun). Others aren’t innocent, but Anthropic sets the worst example of evil practices and others copy it.

@zeddotdev @baseten One thing is for sure: I have completely abandoned using OpenAI or Anthropic flagship models and have been using only Chinese(OSS) models for a very long time. They provide a much better ROI.

@zeddotdev @baseten Yours and OpenCode Zen are clashing. I am currently using their Zen and Go plans, but I use Zed as my IDE. I am completely confused about what to choose for next month, and I'm sure many others are too.

Would you buy Zed Pro if we added open source models from our friends at @baseten
Amario@amariokoro

@zeddotdev why not add open source models from american inference companies to the subscription you provide, that way the 10$ would actually be worth it espcially for students

Microsoft’s distinguished engineer teases that “native apps are back,” as the company plans to build 100% native apps for Windows 11. Windows 11's biggest problem isn't ads or performance, but the app experience. Apps like Netflix, WhatsApp, and even Microsoft's own Windows apps are now powered by either WebView2 or PWAs (web app technology). I don't hate web apps, but they feel slow and not truly part of the operating system. A right-click makes you feel you're browsing Edge, and have options like Inspect Element. Microsoft has confirmed it'll build 100% native apps for Windows 11, and it's also moving some OS features back to native code. This includes the Start menu, which is currently powered by React and is now moving to WinUI. The upcoming Agenda view, which was a WebView2-based component, is also moving to native code. However, the biggest challenge is that Microsoft needs to convince developers to build native apps for Windows.

@opinionWithAura @frokfrdk snap gives a british company(five eyes member) a free backdoor . no one can audit snap package if they have injected something in it. and snap in 2026 is absolute useless compared to native .deb and flatpak.

@GergelyOrosz Microsoft already has tons of data that they’ve stolen from Windows users worldwide through hidden telemetry and spying. So data is not the issue here. They think OpenAI is their child, and under the right conditions, at the right moment, they will acquire them.

Microsoft / GH Copilot is now paying the price for not owning a foundational model of their own that is good at coding. They now need to resell the markup of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cursor was v smart to build Composer, to be able to control pricing. GH done subsidizing tho:
AshutoshShrivastava@ai_for_success

I was going through GitHub Copilot pricing changes… this is wild. They quietly changed model multipliers and some of these jumps are insane.
