Where in the world should we host @opencode meetups?

The businesses getting the most out of AI right now aren't tech companies. They’re plumbers, agency owners, dentists, Etsy sellers. New data from @OpenAI (cc @RonnieChatterji) makes the pattern clear: tech startups account for about 5% of ~active~ U.S. users doing entrepreneurial work with ChatGPT. The other 95% are spread across services, retail, healthcare, and trades. AI adoption for entrepreneurship isn’t concentrated in tech. It’s happening inside everyday businesses, folding into routine work that used to be slower or outsourced or entirely overlooked.

I’ve been so excited about this!

If you're building or buying agentic software: → Can it prove who it is? → Can it show on whose behalf it acted? → Can its access be automatically revoked when the task is done?

Give each agent its own identity. Log not just what the agent did, but on whose behalf it acted, tracing the chain: human → agent A → agent B → action.

NHI or non-human identity is what you’ll hear now, alongside plain old machine identity and human identity. We're handing autonomous AI agents the keys to the kingdom while auditing them like shared interns. 🧵
