@therealmrbench @MarkJCarney what if we drop EV tariffs against China and have them build their EVs in Canada. Especially if other manufacturers are going to leave Canada. Just have the Chinese buy those manufacturing plants to use. Win-win. Also this will get them to drop their canola tariff

We had a terrible experience @TheBrick. We bought a table and extended warranty. When the table was received it was faulty and after arguing with customer service another table was sent with the same issue and additional damage. I would not recommend the Brick in Coquitlam

I had an account with Shaw which I recently canceled. There was a credit on my bill. I was told 6 weeks ago that a cheque was sent.
I have called Shaw customer service to follow up several times. Can someone please call me & help.

@JennyKwanBC many people use houses as an investment and own multiple properties causing higher prices and low supply. combat this by having capital gains on additional properties fully taxed. Set a time limit for people to sell these properties under the old 50% taxed rule (say 6 months).

@JennyKwanBC I have an idea to make housing more affordable in Canada and it would have an immediate affect by increasing supply, it would also increase tax revenue and may have a spin-off effect of increasing the stock market.

Investors are thriving while Canadians buying their home are trying to compete with them. The housing crisis can’t be fixed without aggressive action against speculation: we need to tax house flipping, reign in the REITs and put limits on buying housing as investment properties.

The best way to lower housing prices in my opinion is to fully tax capital gains on secondary properties Allow until Oct 1,22 to divest under current cap gain rules and see the market get flooded with supply
