डेटा सायन्स ❤️ अलीकडे अच्युत गोडबोले आणि पियूष कुलकर्णी लिखित डेटा सायन्स हे पुस्तक वाचायला सुरुवात केली आणि पहिल्याच काही पानांमध्ये जाणवलं की हा फक्त तांत्रिक विषय समजावणारा ग्रंथ नाही, तर बदलत्या जगाकडे नव्या नजरेने पाहायला लावणारं पुस्तक आहे. डेटा सायन्स हे पुस्तक आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाच्या युगात डेटा या संकल्पनेचं महत्त्व सामान्य वाचकाला समजावून सांगणारं एक महत्त्वाचं पुस्तक आहे. डेटा सायन्स हा विषय अनेकांना क्लिष्ट वाटतो; कारण त्यामध्ये गणित, सांख्यिकी, संगणकशास्त्र आणि व्यवसाय या सर्वांचा संगम असतो. मात्र या पुस्तकात लेखकांनी हा विषय मराठीत सोप्या भाषेत उलगडण्याचा प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न केला आहे. पुस्तकाची सुरुवात डेटा म्हणजे नेमकं काय, त्याचं महत्त्व का वाढलं आणि डिजिटल जगात माहिती कशी नवी संपत्ती बनली यापासून होते. त्यानंतर डेटा अॅनालिटिक्स, मशीन लर्निंग, डीप लर्निंग, बिग डेटा, नॅचरल लँग्वेज प्रोसेसिंग, कॉम्प्युटर व्हिजन यांसारख्या विषयांची ओळख करून दिली जाते. विशेष म्हणजे लेखकांनी फक्त तांत्रिक परिभाषा न देता त्या संकल्पना प्रत्यक्ष जीवनातील उदाहरणांमधून समजावून सांगितल्या आहेत. मला सर्वात जास्त आवडलेली गोष्ट म्हणजे लेखकांची मांडणी. अवघड विषय समजावताना त्यांनी कुठेही अनावश्यक तांत्रिक भाषा वापरलेली नाही. उलट प्रत्येक प्रकरण वाचताना असं वाटतं की एखादी गुंतागुंतीची गोष्ट शांतपणे समजावून सांगितली जात आहे. लेखकांनी डेटा सायन्सचा वापर उद्योग, आरोग्य, बँकिंग, ई-कॉमर्स आणि सामाजिक क्षेत्रात कसा होतो हेही स्पष्ट केलं आहे. त्यामुळे हे पुस्तक केवळ शैक्षणिक राहत नाही, तर डेटा सायन्सचा प्रत्यक्ष जगातील प्रभाव दाखवतं. करिअरच्या दृष्टीनेही हा विषय किती महत्त्वाचा आहे याची जाणीव पुस्तक करून देतं. हे पुस्तक वाचल्यानंतर डेटा सायन्सकडे पाहण्याचा माझा दृष्टिकोन बदलला. आधी हा विषय फक्त आयटी क्षेत्रापुरता मर्यादित वाटत होता; पण आता जाणवतं की येणाऱ्या काळात जवळपास प्रत्येक क्षेत्रावर डेटा सायन्सचा प्रभाव असणार आहे. तथापि, ज्या वाचकांना प्रत्यक्ष प्रोग्रामिंग किंवा तांत्रिक अंमलबजावणी शिकायची आहे त्यांच्यासाठी हे पुस्तक प्राथमिक स्वरूपाचं वाटू शकतं. कारण पुस्तक संकल्पना समजावण्यावर अधिक भर देतं; सखोल तांत्रिक प्रशिक्षण देण्यावर नाही. एकंदरीत, डेटा सायन्स हे पुस्तक मराठीतून आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञान समजून घेऊ इच्छिणाऱ्या वाचकांसाठी अत्यंत उपयुक्त आहे. माझ्या दृष्टीने हे पुस्तक केवळ माहिती देत नाही, तर नव्या तंत्रज्ञानाबद्दल भीती कमी करून उत्सुकता निर्माण करतं. ~ महेंद्र कोलते-पाटील @Atarangi_Kp @BTechComedian @LetsReadIndia @rutu609
