@HuddleItUpFilms We need 10+ OL that can make the team going into training camp, and currently only Jones, Stanley, Rosengarten, Simpson, Vinson feel like locks. Bullock, Pinter and Vorhees & 2-3 drafted rookies will battle it out for 5 spots. I could easily see Bullock beating out the others

@robbyengle @HuddleItUpFilms I’m thinking more along the lines of you move off Ronnie after this season. Also have to factor in they need to re-sign Rosengarten.

I have him at 11 overall so it's not like I don't like him but... - Picking a guy to play Center at 14. - Has never played Center before. - Play strength is his knock, thin-looking uppers. You think Lindy had issues with power? - The Center class is strong overall
SleeperRavens@SleeperRavenss

In @MelKiperESPN’s latest mock, he has the #Ravens selecting Utah OT Spencer Fano at No. 14. Thoughts?

@devpanchwagh @HuddleItUpFilms If we assume Ronnie plays through 2027. Then, we’d only get 1 season of Fano at LT before needing to decide on the 5th year option. It only works if Ronnie retires after this year, not if he’s going to continue playing as cutting him isn’t really an option next year.

@BenjaminSolak Ravens have 1 good run defending edge in Tavius Robinson, but agree will probably need another.

@ColeJacksonFB Only reason I think Vorhees might still have a chance is maybe the new coaches (Ledford) like him. But he’s probably also limited with what they’re looking to do with movement & pulling.

Okay wait, let me better clarify. I would specifically go young at C. So it's either Linderbaum or a rookie IMO. I think a veteran guard would make more sense than a veteran C. Carry on.
Cole Jackson@ColeJacksonFB

I feel like I do this every year becuase I really start to like draft prospects I study. But I'm actually okay going young on the OL. I Think this is a pretty deep IOL class. This is 100% contradicting my earlier thoughts and Im aware lol #RavensFlock

@ColeJacksonFB Feels like a common use of the 80/20 rule for me. If we can get 80% of the production at 20% the price, I think those funds are better allocated to other positions.

One thing I'll throw out there as my brain evolves around Tyler Linderbaum's contract. If you replace him you're going to need another C that fits an outside zone scheme. That C is likely going to be smaller and more athletic, which means the same pass pro limitations will probably exist. Just food for thought

@devpanchwagh @zzGodSpeed The restructure is a last resort. Once it’s done, they lose some leverage in getting an extension done this year as Lamar will have less reasons to do so (outside of injury security). The longer Lamar waits, the more he gets.

@zzGodSpeed It wouldn’t be a force since it’s language they agreed on in the contract. It’s no different than what the Chiefs did with Mahomes’ restructure. This would be a contingency if they can’t get the extension done. Which I’m sure they must have talked about by now.

@devpanchwagh I’m in favor especially if he has offset language built in. If not, it’d have to be team friendly. His pass rush win % wasn’t very good

Reeta makes several points in Chubb’s favor. Even in a down year, he had 8.5 sacks. He’s turning 30 in June. But this is a win-now type of move. He also doesn’t count against the comp formula so that’s always a plus for EDC. I would still go DL if it makes sense at 14. #Ravens
BMORE Reeta@theNFLchick

Chubb getting cut may work for the Ravens. Weaver was his DC in miami. Oweh is a FA and played well in Minter’s system. If Mads is able to play football next year, that’s a really good front. And probably cost effective

@RavensSalaryCap That’s what I figured. So signing Lamar to an extension really needs to be completed in 4 weeks to have maximum impact. Otherwise you’re basically just kicking can down the road again

@robbyengle No, to create Cap space in the present the restructure requires a conversion from salary $$ to bonus $$. Once that occurs, it can't be undone. They could still sign him to an extension, but given the size of the bonus that's going to be involved, that would then cost Cap space.

@RavensSalaryCap question for you. If the team and Lamar can’t come to an agreement before free agency, can they restructure and then if they sign him to a new deal before training camp that basically overwrites the restructure as to not push cap into future years?

@ravens4dummies I agree mostly but I think Saleh could break the mold. He’s a hard nosed culture builder. The Jets just got worse after he left, so don’t think you can hold that against him.

It will be Minter or Kubiak. Ravens want a 10+ year hire. They don’t want a retread who has lost before. They want pure, ascending, youthful and attention to detail. They won’t be so bold as to make it one of the candidates under 35. My final guess is Minter.

Billick dealt the hand to himself, let’s be real. Boller was his choice. Redman was another. He couldn’t find a QB. Not like Ozzie was making all those decisions on his own. Plus he had a rep for working with journeyman QBs. I get the sentiment but Billick wasn’t innocent.
Matt King@yapmatt

The Ravens moved off a Super Bowl head coach in Billick who was dealt a bad hand at QB. They ended up winning a SB and having a lot of playoff success with Harbaugh. Now the organization won’t move off another SB head coach even though he was gifted one of the greatest QB talents we’ve ever seen. Give me a break dude.

@devpanchwagh They were almost opposites in terms of how it played out, too. 2007 started off okay and then team lost 9 straight and looked like they had quit. This team had a very rough start with a tough schedule and bad injury luck and then finally started to play decent ball at the end.

@robbyengle It’s wild that people are making it seem like Bisciotti’s decision was unfair today. 2007 was just a step below 2025 in terms of disappointment.

@devpanchwagh I think this is the part fans aren’t considering. The team has been so close, he knows they CAN do it. Is it worth taking the risk that the team might implode with a new coach when you think it’s unlikely it’ll happen with the current one?

This is quite funny considering the Denver analogy yet again. 2008 is a long time ago so he may not see things at all the same way. But this is the crux of the question: Is Bisciotti willing to take that chance? As he said, it could mean multiple coaches. #Ravens #RavensFlock
𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘🐦‍⬛ 🏈@EdgarAllenOmar

2008 Bisciotti would be screaming at 2025 Bisciotti for not firing Harbaugh. He's become paralyzed by fear & his unwillingness to make changes has made the @Ravens nosedive from bad leadership. #RavensFlock #FireHarbaugh

@VasilisFiamata @FilmstudyRavens I just re-watched that press conference and have no issues with it. He said the team knows themselves better than those on outside and they’re focused on themselves. That’s what I’d want a coach to say… and he did end up firing Roman anyway lol

Second ballot Ring of Honor Wasting Lamar’s prime with an antiquated offensive scheme (Roman) and then an inexperienced/subpar defensive playcaller (Orr) should have consequences His reputation deserves to be tarnished. Interested to see how he fares with a lesser front office 🤞🏼

@GlennClarkRadio He should be inducted into the Ring of Honor the SECOND he retires, it's also time to move on.
