Yesterday I was advised by my optician to go to A&E about an eye condition that I'd developed. This morning I drove to Torbay Hospital, parked up, walked into the A&E department past about 6 ambulances waiting to offload patients, saw a sea of people in the waiting room with absolutely no idea when their ailment might be looked at and immediately decided to turn around, walk out the door and go home. The UK is becoming more of a third World country than some of the third World crap holes we send money to. Meanwhile I'm having to work longer hours just to stand still. You have to wonder EXACTLY how this will all end. If basic services are ALL declining while the amount of money we pay in taxes is forever increasing it surely won't be long before the whole system completely collapses. I give it 5 years.

@SuzieWo20886208 TR6, the last of TR range that had class, the TR7 just didn’t cut it, in my opinion only bettered by the Triumph Stag, nonetheless a very nice motor.

As many of you will know, I am a classic car owner since 1998, but I no longer drive it. Britain's roads are so awful that a slight miscalculation would result in a seriously damaged suspension, a broken wrist or both! This car has a 5" ground clearance. You feel the holes. 😡

Peoples Portal - Nigel Jacklin The Good Stats Man
The article states: "The force defended its actions and accused a 'core group of individuals' campaigning on behalf of Letby of trying 'to destroy reputations' and spread 'misinformation'." Having seen @SoniaPoulton interview @gill1109 about this I looked into it further and was one of many members of the Royal Statistical Society who concluded the statistical evidence was dodgy. Not a 'core group of individuals.' My wife trained as a doctor and worked in a neo-natal unit. She noted lots of concerns. My view is that the police went from 'independent investigation' to 'prosecution case building' too quickly. I shared a nursing Times interview on Letby's hospital on X on my old account TheGoodStatsMan which then got suspended. Hitchens, Elston, Hutton and others are to be thanked for speaking out. Those of us who have experienced injustice are finding each other. Nigel Jacklin

@ACLMoss @DebbieKennett @merchant47 Sir David Davis strikes me that he is man that doesn’t like being ignored or given the brush off. He was also a man who joined the territorial army in 22 SAS, his character is not too give in, Cheshire police beware, you don’t know who you are taking on.

Following the parliamentary debate on Lucy Letby and the conduct of Cheshire Police, Sir David Davis has written to Mark Roberts, Cheshire Police's chief constable, asking for "specific rebuttals" to the points he raised and disclosure of key documents. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

@Dorcas_Eatch @ABridgen The Post Office scandal is not a one off, even when they know you’re innocent they advise to plead guilty to bring it to an end, justice has not got anything to do with it, just police conviction figures

@ABridgen I was so pressured at trial to plead guilty to something I hadn't done and is now discredited, I was also very distressed but the solicitor did nothing to help me. More and more I'm realising how bad he was and how bad the whole police and legal system is but nothing left to do

@Earthstar77 @RedRosa91940184 @Shambles151 It’s what is happening, Benn had a foresight that many of us didn’t appreciate, if only he had been listened to,instead of people believing the media that he was from the loony left, we might have had a party worthy of being called Labour.

The destruction of the NHS is being engineered by our own government
Dr Haseena Wazir@DrHWazir

Most people assume that if the NHS needs more specialist doctors, the Government would train more of them. But that’s not actually what’s happening. The Government can decide how many specialist training jobs exist each year. They can increase them, reduce them, or remove them entirely. These numbers are a political decision. So when the Government removes 1,000 future NHS specialist training jobs, that is an active choice to have 1,000 fewer future NHS specialists. That means fewer potential radiologists reading scans. Fewer potential surgeons doing operations. Fewer potential anaesthetists running theatres. Fewer potential psychiatrists and GPs seeing patients. At a time when waiting lists are in the millions and patients are waiting months or years to see specialists, the Government has actively chosen to reduce the number of future specialists. That doesn’t just punish doctors. It punishes patients and the NHS as a whole, because it means fewer potential specialists and longer waits in the future. And the most concerning part is why this happened. These training jobs were discussed in the context of negotiations with doctors. That means specialist training jobs, and therefore future NHS specialists, were being treated as something that could be added or removed depending on whether doctors accepted Government terms. That is not workforce planning. That is using future NHS specialists as leverage. The Government can create more NHS specialists if it wants to. It can reduce waiting lists faster if it wants to. It can train more doctors if it wants to. Yet they’ve chosen not to. This was a political choice that this Labour Government have made. tribunemag.co.uk/2026/04/the-go…

@lizyeld Those changes started under Thatcher (Thatcher’s Army), she needed to defeat the miners and they were her means to survive, it’s now become a them and us, so sad it’s gone that way.

I am with you one hundred per cent. The changes which have taken place in our police service are one of the saddest things I've ever known. Their more recent affiliation with Social services and the recognition of all that can be achieved when working together and where children can be manipulated to assist them, has been nothing short of evil.

I would have to agree with every word, although if anyone thinks it gives me pleasure, it doesn't. It has caused tragedy in innocent lives all across the country and those who fight for a justice system which does not destroy the innocent as routinely as it now does, are simply denied a voice. To pay victims to give evidence against men without making any distinction between truth tellers and liars is Communism, and always the way it is established anywhere. Men, and in particular professional men, go against the wall. Anyone who has read Solzhenitsyn sees how far it has entered Britain and what was once a country which would never have tolerated these appalling persecutions and convictions of innocent. When do those not affected start caring about those who are? Same old question which has been part of the human condition forever, and we can only look to those who break this indifference with the dedication they give to fighting for real justice with admiration and gratitude, however much they are ignored. @EmpowerInnocent

@ACLMoss @hol40900 Lucy is innocent, no doubt about that, the fear she must feel is nothing more than legalised torture, only those that play with plasticine and wax crayons believe she is now guilty.

Lucy Letby fears for her safety? She's serving 15 whole-life orders for murdering 7 babies and trying to kill 7 others. The taxpayer has already spent £2.5m on her trial and over £1.8m on her legal fees. Save the sympathy for the victims and their families.

@ContrarianJolly @fake_medical @MartynPitman The correlation between deaths and Lucy Letby’s presence is big and real. It was caused by hospital management who needed her to do many extra shifts when the unit was full of very high risk babies. The deaths did not follow Lucy - she followed the deaths, unwittingly.
