The first public release of Velaros is ready and I'm excited to share it. Velaros is a WebSocket framework for Go. It's designed to help organize your logic into handlers, similar to how most HTTP frameworks do, but with considerations for WebSockets, such as bi-directional communication. It provides the familiar middleware pattern, and provides support for JSON, Message Pack, and Protocol Buffers right out the gate. If you need to support other formats/protocols they can be easily implemented with custom middleware. Check it out and let me know what you think!

CBC brings in American political streamer Hasan Piker to explain to Alberta why separation is wrong. Apparently CBC couldn’t find a Canadian for that job.

The problem is the media primarily. Eby is and has always been an activist. This is his lifes work, and he's succeeding. The betrayal is a journalist class that hides, let alone, investigate the motivations of our politicians. Many normal voters are not just uninformed, they are ill informed. The media enables this.

I am done with the David Eby act. “Not briefed.” “Haven’t seen the documents.” Spare me. He stood at the ribbon cutting. In his own riding. On stage while Ottawa recognized Aboriginal rights, including title, for the Musqueam Indian Band across huge swaths of Metro Vancouver. You do not show up for the signing, smile for the cameras, legitimize the deal with your presence — and then play clueless when the public starts asking questions. That is not oversight. That is calculated evasion. If Chief Wayne Sparrow is not coming for private property, then lock it in. Put it in binding law. Protect every existing fee-simple title. Waive retroactive claims against private owners. Release the entire agreement — every clause, every map, every enforcement mechanism. This is not about denying Indigenous rights. Section 35 exists. The courts enforce it. Understood. This is about transparency and democratic accountability. The B.C. NDP already ran this stunt with the shíshálh deal. Massive land governance changes rolled out quietly. Public backlash erupted. Eby froze Land Act reforms in 2024 when he felt the heat. Now the same curtain drops again. Ottawa negotiates first. Announces later. Wraps it in reconciliation branding. Leaves three million people in Metro Vancouver to decode what it means for their homes and businesses after the ink dries. No more. Publish everything. Full agreements. Detailed territorial maps. Implementation timelines. Jurisdictional trigger points. Spell out exactly where shared decision-making ends and veto authority begins. As your next Premier, I will drag every one of these deals into the open. We will fight for your property rights. We will legislate that every future negotiation explicitly enshrines ironclad protection for existing private property. We will hardwire property protections into provincial law. We will abolish DRIPA. I will end the confusion and restore clear, protected private property rights. We will work with Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the rest of Canada to reopen the constitutional debate and entrench private property rights alongside Section 35. No more secretive NDP land deals. No more selective amnesia. No more games with the foundation of your home. To be clear, I will abolish DRIPA. I will end the confusion and restore clear, protected private property rights. This province belongs to EVERY British Columbian. Join me. Buy a membership. Vote in this leadership race. HarmanForLeader.ca Let’s Rebuild B.C. Together.

In an update from @GlobalBC, they somehow have received the agreements between Musqueum and Canada that are government has not made public, acknowledging Aboriginal title over much of the lower mainland. But the agreements have already been removed from their news article. This is a democratic crisis. As aboriginal law expert Tom Isaac was quoted in the article: “It is, from a process point of view, it’s, and I’ll say it again, absolutely unacceptable that public democratic governments are entering into agreements acknowledging Aboriginal title in any form when it’s an exclusive right to land, according to the Supreme Court of Canada, without consulting in some way with their constituency, which is the public." globalnews.ca/news/11713751/…

@smansoor416 @CIJAinfo I think all humans are the same physically, things like skin color don't mean anything. What does matter is ideas. I don't like people who force their religion on others. I also don't like people who call for witch hunts on those they feel are heretics.

I dunno, maybe the live-streamed genocide we’ve all been witness to justifies an investigation. I’m not a lawyer but the point remains that if someone, regardless of background/ethnicity commits a crime, they should be held accountable. Same goes for Hindus/Muslims that have backwards cultural practices. And I believe in the good of people. All people, regardless of religion. How do you feel about Arabs/Muslims?

As a sitting MP—and even more so as a leadership candidate for what is now a marginal political party—Heather McPherson should focus on issues that matter to Canadians, not on rhetoric that demonizes Jewish Canadians and divides our society. Our SVP and Legal Counsel @richardmarceau spoke with the @nationalpost about Heather McPherson’s latest attempt to pander to extremists by targeting members of the Jewish community who have honourably served the Jewish people and a democratic ally of Canada. nationalpost.com/news/canada/je…

@smansoor416 @CIJAinfo No. You don't find things to charge people with. You start with creditable evidence that a crime under canadian law has been committed. Not that someone is Jewish or served in the IDF. How do you feel about Jewish people?

@smansoor416 @CIJAinfo You'd need to have each individual charged individually with a crime under Canadian law. Charges require evidence of a specific canadian law or laws broken. The burden is on the accuser to prove it.

@robertwhurst @CIJAinfo Sure, but if during that duty, war crimes were committed, then the person should be held to account, right? If no war crimes were committed then there’s nothing to worry about.

@CIJAinfo Canadians should not be serving in the IDF or any foreign military. If they do and commit war crimes whilst doing so, they should be prosecuted. That goes across the board. War crimes = bad. Doesn’t seem like a hard concept to grasp.

Value is run by engineering minded first principle thinkers. Apple and Meta are largely run by professional managers, who don't even understand what is possible or required in a problem space beyond what their trusted staff tell them. They can't steer the product vision directly, because they can't see it for themselves, instead relying on others. This is also why I believe a lot of these organizations are more internally political than technical.
kache@yacineMTB

how did gabe newell defeat both apple and meta with their 20 billion dollars of investment in the VR compute space while barely lifting a finger?? seriously? how? how did he win against these public company giants? how did he so handily destroy them?

FLOOR CROSSER CONTEXT: One year ago, I invited MP Chris d’Entremont constituents to appear before the Fisheries Committee to speak to the orgy of violence going on his community. I did this because Chris could not speak publicly as Deputy Speaker and he asked me to help. Appearing anonymously, his constituents shared accounts of how they’ve become terrorized by gunfire targeting their homes, violent assaults carried out in broad daylight, and homes being demolished by heavy machinery in what they described as calculated acts of intimidation. This violence was the result of unchecked liberal soft-on-crime policies and an outright refusal by the liberal government to enforce illegal fishing in Southwest Nova Scotia. Today – these problems have only gotten worse. Illegal fishing gangs continue to terrorize legal fishermen with extortion, on the water gun violence, and death threats. Yesterday – Chris turned his back on his constituents. He sided with a government that has done nothing to stop the illegal poaching going on his community that has created an orgy of violence in his community while simultaneously placing thousands of their livelihoods at risk. Shameful.

Hey @PierrePoilievre. Have you delivered the criminal evidence of Trudeau to the @rcmpgrcpolice yet? You did say you would meet with them didn't you? So what's the hold up? At this point it's looking like you lied and are full of shit. What are you waiting for?
