@roboflipp Hi, our road closures can go on any time between 8pm and 11pm. The teams on the ground would assess the traffic flows and if the traffic flow is too high then they will wait until it reduces to a lower level to try and prevent as much disruption as possible. Shonagh

It’s an abuse of police power and it needs to stop!

#A303 between #A342 (#Andover) and #A338 (#ShiptonBellinger) is closed in both directions due to a serious collision. All emergency services including an Air Ambulance are in attendance. There are currently delays of 15 minutes on the approach in both directions.

@HighwaysEAST If you want to divert around the incident probably best to use A13, A406 and M11 (or reverse) because Gallows Corner is shut, though I don’t know if there are any height restrictions in that route!

The #M25 is now closed in both directions between J28 (#Brentwood) and J27 (#M11). The collision, which occurred anti-clockwise, has taken out a power line and requires immediate attendance by engineers across both carriageways to make safe. We will keep you updated.

The #M40 southbound remains closed between J8A (#Oxford) and J6 (#Watlington) following a collision. A significant spillage has caused damage to road surface and resurfacing is required in lanes 1 and 2. Recovery are en route, 1 lane will reopen once recovery is complete.

Following a multiple vehicle collision, the #M40 southbound is currently held between J8 (#Oxford) and J6 (#Chinnor) to allow emergency services work safely at the scene. #TrafficOfficers are assisting with scene management. Further updates to follow shortly

@jamespyoung84 @HighwaysWMIDS Minor refers to the injuries involved rather than the extent of vehicle damage, meaning if no one is hurt there is no justification for a road closure. It will be an insurance and damage dispute between parties.

@ttvxchelseaa Hi, trapped traffic is in the process of being released at the moment. Once trapped traffic has been released, all closures will be lifted. This will then ease traffic on the A roads.
