@DannyManus I was 250 lbs when I graduated high school (I was the fat kid) and 160 when I graduated college. I’ve sustained a healthy weight for almost 50 years and it’s been hard but one my great successes. Congrats Danny, you done good.

Well, my PA at Cedars that I see for weight loss reminded me this morning that comparison is the thief of joy. I was complaining that i still have another 12-15lbs i'd like to lose & it's been super slow, and she re-read me my intake paperwork from 2 years ago where I said that my dream goal weight was... exactly what I am right now! We are continuously moving goal posts when reality doesnt equal expectation. But we always need to keep in mind how far we've come. Whether thats weight loss, fitness, personal growth, professional success, etc. Reality isnt the same as Expectation but that doesnt mean it's not Progress or Success .

@Zoya_ki_batein I read your study, especially the methods which included “tell her whatever she wants to hear.” And most of the really aggressive methods have a very high “never used” response.

95% of men in a recent study admitted to using a method for getting sex from a woman they knew didn't want it. And all these researchers had to do was promise one thing that no one would ever find out. So the study comprised of 2,689 men. Their ages ranged from 18 to 34. These are not prisoners, These are just regular people, a community sample. Two-thirds of them were employed full-time and half of them were in relationships. The tactics include: “Get her away from everyone. Isolate her. Get her somewhere private and under your control. Keep her drunk if she's already drunk”. Some of them used physical restraints and two-thirds of these occasions ended in the sex he wanted. So these same men are in your comments right now or in my comments too typing “not all men”. Love Chuck Lorre and what he's built. He's had hit after hit. He's done incredibly well. I'd love to see a Black version of that. We kind of have it with Tyler Perry, but I'd love to see more people like him enter the market and build their own empires. It's still incredibly rare to see people like us thrive in these fields, and when we do thrive, there always seems to be something that threatens to railroad that talent. We need to stay locked in, focused, and on track. Cancel out the noise and let your talent do the talking. I say all of this having just written the word "fuck" 35 times in my latest script. So, safe to say, my talent has officially been railroaded by too many episodes of Family Guy.

I'm not loving that Pangram flags a lot of my prose as AI. I was curious and pasted a chapter from my 10-year old book Gabriel Lux Is Okay into Substack and ran the AI detection check on it just for shits and giggles and it came back 100% AI. Which it absolutely was not. I have timestamp proof!

On some older radio programs like Casey Kasem, they used to say, “this show is pre-recorded.” Why not just say “recorded?” Every recording is ‘pre.’ I mean, you can’t record in the future.

Okay, I’ve been an absent for a long while. I got some great news today via @PAGEawards and have been too busy to say anything. Some of you may know my day job, and thanks to this economy… it’s been extremely busy times. Plus some medical issues over the past year with my wife.

@fringeblog I never wanted to scale my law practice (I retired last year). But the business I’m working on now I want to scale like mad. Depends on the business and the CEO’s priorities.

@NoahRevoy Lol no.....one group is getting laid and the other isnt. There is a shameful parallel but women are always getting dick so the energy is NOT the same.

Women in a FWB situation believe that they can turn it into a LTR if they just sex good enough. Men in the friend zone believe they can turn it into a LTR if they are just nice enough. Both have the same energy.

@Rich_Cooper Why doesn't he just function like a normal adult without needing to be bribed. Embarrassing for women to have to hold men's' hands through everyday household chores. And yes both these people are majorly cringe.

Again, marriage is a humiliation ritual for most men.

@Rich_Cooper I think this is a good idea. So much of life and marriage is transactional anyway, why not just make it all contractual? I might quibble with some of the details in this chart, but the concept works.
