These are John Cross (77) and Bina (Balbina) Cross (76), a retired couple who farmed cattle near Gravelotte, Limpopo, South Africa. On April 16, 2000, they returned home from church and were ambushed by two men (former workers). The attackers tortured them for hours: Bina was shot three times (knees and back), left to bleed out while boiling water was poured over her. John was tied by the neck, beaten, had scalding water forced down his throat via a shower nozzle, shot multiple times, and killed with a headshot. Their daughter Lita Fourie later confirmed the details and founded an anti-farm-attack support group. The killers were caught and sentenced to 50 years.

Finally killed with a high-powered rifle shot to the head, blowing off the top of his skull. Post-mortem: John's internal organs were burned; his stomach was full of water.
