@Bryan_Long @Roger_Chiasson @walsha I don’t have the answer but would be good to know how many 21 year old freshmen actually have a NHL career. My guess is very few. And then compare that to kids who are strung along by junior coaches wasting money and time who eventually play ACHA or quit game

@Roger_Chiasson @roscoe2021 @walsha It's just not the same. I played in the late 90's and have an '08 navigating his path now. The NCAA FINALLY has emerged as the premiere development path for the NHL...why would they stand idle when these changes would clearly alter that.

Smart move if they get funding (potential investors may want this) This helps clear the books and invalidate contracts that are too rich. They sign new ones for vendors they want to keep the same, renegotiate with players, and all the other liabilities go away (become unsecured claims for damages). Fixed costs reset, business keeps running while protected, gives breathing room, and a cleaner & more attractive entity for new investors.

You can look at playing events where 20+ under par wins. Not playing the last 3 weeks. Not playing 1 event in the US in 2026. But Patrick Reed has only played in the Middle East and Africa. Maybe the pressure ramped a little higher than playing LIV. Maybe just didn't play well?
